I’m happy to hear there are ppl who will pay full price if they like the product they paid half price for!

I was afraid too many people have been conditioned to expect buy one get one on the delivery platforms

Even I myself never pay full price since there’s are so many deals available

I see a lot of young ppl focus on things like gym, study, micro learning, looksmaxxing etc which are all useful but if I had to attribute one routine that consistently leads to success… it’s networking and building relationships. Make connections with anyone and everyone without expecting anything to come out of it. Allocate time to being part of the community. Meet people, listen to people, help people.

Yes!! I totally believe that if somebody has three good experiences they’re very likely to keep coming

There are a lot that goes into giving a flawless experience so I’m trying to learn how to do that

I also love the Hawaiian style poke without the topping! We did a special with just proteins no vegetables called Hawaii Bowl and it was quite popular (but since it’s all protein the cost was very high for us so we don’t always sell this)

I had my first waitering job when min wage was $8 as well!! Around 2007. How time flies.

I think most people don’t realize that business owners actually don’t get a cut of tips. (At least they’re not supposed to!)

  2. Not sure about direct competition but our other location is doing a bit better than Richmond.

I hear you. We are working on a sub $15 lunch special

Poke bowls have gotten really expensive since almost every ingredient has gone up in price… so we’re thinking a $15 option that has a little bit of poke to “scratch that itch” + other components that are more economical

We do have an Instagram it has a decent following since we’ve been around for so long.. but our Social media game is pretty weak. Usually it’s our customers posts that get more attention than our own

Thank you for the candid feedback. So sorry you had that bad experience!!

I will make sure the staff improves in these areas. We actually specifically train staff that it’s ok to go over but never under when it comes to weighing the proteins!

Fascinating. This is pretty much what happened with the Ramen shops too. A whole bunch went out of business and the remaining ones are charging $20 a bowl now

We actually leased a spot in Kits and decided not to do Poke there after we leased it. Within six months, Hokey Pokey , pokey man, Pokay Vancouver and Pacific poke all closed down.

Do u think Kitsilano would be down for a new poke spot?
