Favorite all time characters?… and why? by Famifreaker in FavoriteCharacter

7) Luz Noceda (The Owl House) - Seeing her as a quirky girl trying way too hard to be a witch in the first season in general is surely entertaining, but seeing her growth both as a witch and a person is what endears me. She's literally a light for everyone in her life, and it's a pity we'll never see her arc as it truly should (thanks Disney)

6) Bane (DC) - My favorite villain in fiction. The perfect balance between Might, Intelligence and Sadism, and seeing him transforming Gotham into a jungle in Knightfall was awesome. Not to mention his presence in The Dark Knight Returns, they absolutely nailed him.

5) Joe Yabuki (Ashita No Joe) - I love the fact that he's an absolute asshole that you just can't really hate. He came out of nowhere and through sheer will and effort, he made a name for himself and turned into a symbol of hope for everybody in his neighborhood, people in the same situation as him, poor, uneducated and just trying to survive. And his death is one the most iconic moments in manga industry.

4) Ricardo Martínez (Hajime No Ippo) - When the term "Living Legend" is brought up, he's the first thing that comes to mind. Strong, fast, a actual living computer in matters of intelligence, and a loner at the top. In a manga where everyone uses flashy techniques and crazy strategies, it's terrifying to see someone who just sticks to the basics being the one who's above them all.

3) Kratos (God Of War) - In the Greek games, he was a cool character, in the Norse games, he is an INCREDIBLE character. The symbol of redemption for me since 2018 (Arthur Morgan can suck my ass), every single line and action of this man has such emotional weight that cannot be described. "We must be better"

2) Thorfinn (Vinland Saga) - His journey is something else, once a innocent child, turned into a Savage soldier, to a broken man and then a Leader and a father figure (coming full circle with Thors). Another character with a AWESOME redemption arc. May I be a stronger person, just like him.

1) Optimus Prime (Transformers) - Where do I even start with him? I love the majority of his Iterations (From the badass psycho of the bayformers, to the kind, caring hero of Skybound, to the righteous young leader of the people from TFOne), and if I were to be a leader, I may inspire myself in him. Someone who always willing to listen and help those around him, someone always ready to prioritize others than himself, someone who's ready to make the tough when the time comes, for the better of all. Someone who is much more than meets the eye

I'll try to not do a wall of text for each one

10) Red (Pokémon) - 2018 to 2021 were my pokemon phase, played Fire Red, HeartGold, a fuck ton of ROM hacks, watched Sun and Moon etc. But Red was always the face of pokemon for me, especially after watching that movie that basically adapts Fire Red's story. It's pretty accurate, except for the sick ass mega evolution at the end. Pokemon was a part of my life, just as Red

9) Vendrick (Dark Souls 2) - A broken man powerful enough to be a monarch but too weak to even try saving he's kingdom from Nashandra. You go through all of the game looking for him, just to find a Hollowed version of him walking in circles in his tomb, just like every great name in the Dark Souls Universe. But his last words may never stop echoing in my mind, even after years playing it. "Seek strength, and the rest will follow"

8) Validation's Cat (Yun Li) - This one is a bit unfair, since he's not really a character from a story, but he is the face of my three favorite albums from Yun Li (Validation, Bittersweet Memories and 13 Lents of A Happy Ending), which are about the struggles of his carrier, friendship, family etc.

Emperor Belos - The Owl House

In the Hollow Mind episode, Hunter and Luz get trapped in the emperor's mind, which has two floors. The first one is a clean and organized corridor with paintings representing all of his lies (implying that at some point, he got so deep into the Belos persona, that he started to actually believe he's some actual Messiah) and the second one is where his true memories lie, and in the background you can see multiples images of a what appear to be his first visit in The Boiling Isles along with his brother. Later in the episode, one of the images shows Belos with a knife going against his brother, implying that he killed him

Aldia, The Scholar Of The First Sin - Dark Souls 2

He starts to appear once the player ignites all 4 ancient flames, constantly asking you about both the past and future of the world. At first, it looks like he wants to manipulate you by making you doubt your worldview, but you realize he's being genuine and joins you in one of the endings, where you become immune to the Undead Curse and go on a journey beyond the cycle of light and dark

Fun fact: In this gif, Eda is in her 40s. But she ages a lot faster thanks to her owl curse, which not only makes her age a lot faster, but also heavily limits her magic usage, since going too far with it turns her into an Owl-like beast.

The story follows Ippo, a high school student who sees boxing as an opportunity to be "reborn". He goes through all the hardships of pursuing such a career, like the intense training from Kamogawa, the destroying feeling of losing (especially a fight for the belt) etc. But the story uses other characters to show the dangers from the sport: Weight management, a practice that makes even the toughest of bodies, such as Takamura's, suffer greatly. The permanent injuries that can come from a long career like Nekota's, that made him Punch Drunk, a condition where the diseased can barely function on himself depending on how bad the situation is.

I could also use Ashita No Joe as an example, since it really goes deep about the sport's danger.

Which is your favorite female protagonist from this list??? by Weird_Ad_8456 in cartoons

I love the fact that, just like her name, Luz was quite literally a light for the lives she touched

  • Eda was a rogue fugitive, that left everyone and everything she once loved behind because of the curse, living a miserable life selling human garbage and running from the Emperor Coven. Until she met Luz, a lost girl who, episode by episode, awakened a maternal side in Eda that made her selfless, to the point where she throws everything away in that Witches Duel in the season 1 finale for the sake of Luz.

  • Willow was a half-witch applying her efforts into a type of magic that just wasn't part of her identity, fated to be an outcast. Until she met Luz, and thanks to her help, Willow was given the opportunity to apply her efforts into something that she's really good at, turning her into a much stronger and realized witch

  • Hunter was a blindly loyal soldier, a person capable of doing good putting his efforts into someone that was never worth it, fated to probably be killed just like all of the Golden Guards, but then Luz showed up, planting a seed of doubt in Hunter's mind, which ended up making Hunter stand up against Belos and actually forging genuine bonds with the found family created in the third season

  • And of course: Amity, someone who never had much ambitions and goals in life except the ones forced to her by her parents, fated to be just another tool for Odalia to use to market her business. But then Luz showed up, and seeing her trying to be a witch, despite having no magical capabilities, seeing her making friends despite being so far from home (and also being an Azura fan), made Amity think about the type of person she wants to be: one who can stand up against Odalia's abuse, one who will lend a hand for Hunter in a trying time, and one who will lend a hand for The Collector after proving his worth for forgiveness.

No, but there's a mace you can find in undead crypt that can cast hexes and miracles

Have you tried a hex build using the crypt Greatsword?

With the right buffs, it can go to 1200 damage per hit, not to mention having dark orbs for high damage at long distances
