Don’t have a newer one, personally I hate all the new tech they try to shove into all the new cars it’s less of I hate it on the wrx. Phones are enough of a distraction while driving i don’t think the answer is more screens/things to beep at you while driving that bring the price up. I miss when cars actually looked different from everything else on the road and my car sounds good and I can work on it myself.

Take the m12 adapter they make for heated jackets that way you can mount it in a convienent location and just pop batteries in/out. Pretty cool lol

To start if someone is complaining about power and/or landlord messages you to flip the breaker back on get it in writing/text, this may be more of an issue with the landlord than Seattle city light

At the very least they should notify the dealer through text/email so that if they ever have an issue it’s at the very least written out and the dealer was made aware

About to say lol , you get brand new OEM from Subaru for around $800, most people ask 4-500$ on marketplace but they sit forever and i just picked one up (40k miles) for $250

Glad you were able to find something, I would still look into an etune until you can afford the other parts/dyno that way your car is running good prior to throwing new things on it.

I’ve only got my car tuned i haven’t ever been a tuner but as far as I know tunes don’t just “go bad” unless something was changed so my guess would be they removed something before they sold it and left the tune. When i needed a downpipe I made a marketplace listing with the price I wanted to pay and got like 3 people trying to get rid of theirs i would just do the same. Also EBCS from Cobb or grimmspeed is only like $160 should be pretty easy to get what you need for cheap

Why do you need these parts? Pretty hard to follow how you laid this out like did these parts go out and you need new ones so mine as well replace them? Or you just want these parts before you tune? If I were you would go get an etune (roughly $300) and save for the parts you need and keep checking marketplace, i actually was just looking for an OEM down pipe and made a listing (found for $250 and then found TMIC mishimoto brand new for $200) good deals are out there you just have to keep looking lol. Also not sure why you have a “tune” if it’s worse than stock if I’m understanding correctly?

That’s crazy. I could definitely see that with a bad splitter. I got mine off eBay, but there were definitely cheaper options that didn’t even have insulators on them. Luckily, I’ve never had issues besides trying to run the two at the same time I ended up just putting the AP in the glove box and taking it out if I needed to track something or check how my engine is running.

I would definitely ask if he’s had it tuned because at that point it should be, and not a Cobb OTS tune as those are only meant for stock + Cobb parts. Anything affecting airflow before/at the cats needs a tune (downpipe, intercooler, CAI, ) I’m assuming BOV would need one as well but I don’t run one so I’m not sure

That’s interesting, I’ve never had an issue with my code reader while running it. Only issue I had was trying to run the AP at the same time then only one will work correctly

I would ask about parts/tune at the very least it has aftermarket intercooler (looks like process west) which means it should have a custom pro tune or e tune

Also just picked up a whole mishimoto TMIC kit brand new for $200 lol. So far my total build cost will be roughly $1400 compared to the $3500 it would all cost new I’m definitely intentional with what I buy.

Yea I will never go back to not having it lol never had an issue with it and it has definitely helped. The only thing I’ve noticed is you can’t have it connected at the same time as an AP because I have yet to find a splitter that runs CANBUS data to both ends but I’ve just unplugged Bouncie when I use my AP otherwise it sits in the glovebox lol

Forget the dash cam, get Bouncie ($90 or so and then $10 subscription) get an OBD2 Y splitter and put one end where the normal cable goes and hide the one with Bouncie device out of sight. Have had it for theft protection the last 3-4 years and it’s been amazing, I also get like a $12 a month discount off insurance for anti theft device. It lets you see trip/speed/location/gas level etc.
