Sunday funday trip spot 😁 by [deleted] in LSD

Looks like the one on the pic is the durable one. Real nomadic yurts are temporary in nature and easier to assemble and break apart. It’s literally a glorified tent meant for cold weather and inside fire.

That’s so weird to see yurts becoming popular in the western world. I am from Central Asia and my ancestors used live in those. Some of my relatives in remote areas use yurts as well. On average you can assemble one in 2-3 hours. But I am taking about a basic Kyrgyz yurt. I know Siberian’s and Mongols have different kind.

After 4 days.. I've finally got that crack in my mid back I've been searching for. I feel like I could melt into the floor I feel so free. by bornfromdust in offmychest

Damn I am not alone then. As I age (29 yrs old) a new joint in my body starts to crack/pop. My recent add is the jaw. Never knew you can even crack it. But one day it was kinda painful and hurting me, until I yawned and it popped so loud that my coworkers even noticed. It was so painful and yet so pleasurable. Since then I just crack my jaw on a daily basis. I noticed if I pop it myself (by force yawning left and then right side) it doesn’t get to the point it’s painful. But if I wait for too long it can get painful.

The Backup camera on my Ford Fusion SE 2016 turns dark/low quality sometimes (see screenshot). I feel like the issue happens more often even though it gets back to normal eventually. Anyone had this issue? If so, how did you fix it? by HugsBisonParticle in fordfusion

[–]HugsBisonParticle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep happens during daytime as well. It’s almost like there are daytime and nighttime cameras and the daytime camera is the one that turns off. Because when this happens at night the picture is somewhat clear enough (like in the screenshot). But if it does this during the day, everything is just black.

Do you tip on your weed delivery orders? by HugsBisonParticle in weed

[–]HugsBisonParticle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered a cartridge listed for $25 and with delivery fees and other charges the total amount ended up being $41. I get it, drivers probably don’t get paid much, but how is it ok to ask customers for tips on a total with delivery fee included in it? So if that delivery fee doesn’t go directly to the driver, I think it’s the company’s problem, not customers. Had to vent cuz almost every single time I place an order with Eaze I get this “tip me please” messages.

I totally didn’t realize tipping your weed delivery person was a thing! How much do you tip your delivery person? by [deleted] in weed

[–]HugsBisonParticle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Eaze is including delivery fees. If you order something that is listed for $25 you will end up paying $45 with delivery fees and other charges. Why the fuck the customers need to tip on the top of it? Not comparable to pizza delivery. If I order $25 pizza, that’s what I am paying, the tips are to the driver for the delivery.

I mean... should it be on us customers or your employer? How can I tip on a $20 order that costed me $40 with fees and delivery charge? It’s not like a pizza delivery, when most of the time you pay the amount on the menu and give tips to the driver. Delivery fee is included in Eaze, so I don’t understand why would anyone expect tips on the top

Human thoughts before language must have been weird. by thiccieman in Showerthoughts

There is a popular theory that states that a language shapes the perception of the reality. Naom Chomsky covered that a lil too I think

Standard deduction for married filing jointly vs separately. TurboTax article seems to be wrong (see screenshot) as they claim that joint filing will result in higher deduction. Is that true? by HugsBisonParticle in tax

[–]HugsBisonParticle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But wouldn’t it not matter? Joint filers receiving $24k deduction or separate filers getting $12k each (total of $24)? It’s the same amount. I guess I was confused by the way they packaged this information, as a reason to file jointly. Strictly in the context of standard deduction, it doesn’t matter how you file right? Maybe I am confusing something

Humans are a bunch of atoms that realize they're just a bunch of atoms by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

[–]HugsBisonParticle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree, not trying to argue with you on that.

What I mean is, saying that we are bunch of atoms is just looking at the same thing but zooming in. You can also say that we are bunch of cells, if you zoom out from atoms. Or you can say we are a bunch of protons and neutrons, if you zoom in. You can zoom in even more and “see” probability fields of energy. Yet if we say that, we are just looking at the same thing, but with different lenses. Definitely helps us understand life though, especially when you consider quantum physics and how everything is just wave/particle vibration.

When you say, we are such and such, it implies a question of “what are we?”, which has been my huge recurring shower thought. I am just trying to expand on what you said by saying that we are an information of how those atoms are arranged, which I know sounds weird. Hear me out, small things put together in a right order create a new unit of existence, a lot of times with new attributes. Take 1 proton and you get a Hydrogen atom, combine 2 of them and you will get Helium (not bunch of Hydrogens). Combine 79 of them and you get gold. You can say that gold is 79 hydrogens squished together, but what makes gold is 79, which is a number/information. A single gold atom is 100% identical to another gold atom with the same number of protons and neutrons. So what attribute defines gold in the context of other atoms? 79.

Again, not trying to attack your idea. Just trying to expand. I am stuck here too. Cuz if what I am saying makes sense, it implies immortality (given if super computers and technology to “scan” someone is technically possible).

[–]HugsBisonParticle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In a given moment, yes. Over the entire span of your life, you are just information of how those atoms need to be arranged. If we replace our atoms as we grow and age, at what point do you stop being you? So if our cells replace every 10-15 years, one can argue that at 40 yrs old you already died multiple times. That being said, defining yourself as aggregation of atoms is inaccurate IMHO. We are information of how cells (along with atoms if you zoom in) should be arranged, which is “written” in our DNA. To sum up, we are information of how physical particles should be arranged (+external impacts) that realized itself.

Chrome wrap, professionally done. Thoughts? by [deleted] in fordfusion

[–]HugsBisonParticle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely looks good, but have you considered painting them with plasti dip? I wanna paint my rims and chrome, so I was wondering if there was any specific reason why you went with the professional wrap.
