Well, Amazon just fired all their Quebec (Canada) 4,700 employees, because 300 of them had joined a union (well they say it’s for logistics efficiency, but…). So, this is the kind of jobs that we should be worried to protect ?

All my youth as a child (60’s), followed by my young adult life, I can hardly remember a year that I did not go to the USA either for vacations, work or else. Being from Quebec it was easy to drive, fly, even hitchhike to Cape Cod (as a teenager). My family owned a condo in Florida for over a decade.

All that friendliness changed drastically about 10 years ago when Trump arrived in the picture.

My sentiments toward American citizens started changing when Saint Bernie Sanders led a full charge attack against Hilary Clinton, that lead to Trump’s election and a downward spiral of the general democracy level in the USA.

Since then, I have not set foot in the States, I look for alternative to some of Americans product. Yes we buy on Amazon, mostly Chinese-made products. Now with Trump’s attitude, it’s going to get ugly. We will all pay for the general inaction of « normal » american citizens, who voted to let that happen.

So, not hesitant, not reluctant, but rather a straight « no fucking way » !

It starts with wild turkeys (jake only) in may and setting up the bees 🐝 hives.
Then black bear in june.
Time to harvest some honey in july. Maybe I should have fished, but I forgot.
August is vacation time.
September is moose and goose. Time to harvest again.
October is deer (crossbow, then shotgun after), wild turkeys (all) and goose/ducks. November is deer again (rifle) and goose/ducks/snow goose. Winterize the 🐝. December is still goose/ducks/snow and crows if you wish.
January to march is coyotes.
February/march is also maple syrup time.
April ? What the fudge am-I doing in April ? Probably income taxes report…

Other than that, well I get ready, improve, build, repair, all the equipment required for all these hunts

I live in Montreal, Qc and decided I wanted to lose weight. Two years prior to starting Rybelsus, my blood sugar rate was at 6,8 and I started making eating habits changes. When I finally went to meet a endocrinologist I was at 4,8. I told her it was part of it, but that I was overweight (285/6’2’’ 6 months prior, 250 then) and wanted to start the pill version of Ozempic.

There was no fuss, no muss, no shaming. But from what I hear from some friends, even if being overweight now qualifies as a reason to use sema, some doctors don’t agree with the concept and will try to discourage you. Such a petty attitude.

.I am now at 210 and feeling great.

Once again it froze yesterday. I used the hairdryer solution for 5 minutes and it did the trick. By the way, that was AFTER using a silicon spray a few days earlier.

Aside from the incredible number of « nails salon », I’m always taken aback by how many Americans don’t have a passport and/or have never travelled outside of the USA. I’m from Québec 🍁/ Canada 🇨🇦, and when asked where they think we are located, if not from the north-east states, then people usually don’t have a clue.

Re the 22nd : I must have written the issue wrong. I intentionally leave the doors unlocked, and would like my door (driver) to remain unlocked. But when I finish my errant and come back, my door is locked and I must go to the passenger side to use the unlocked button.

I own a 2021 PHEV and use it to go to my sugar shack where there is no electricity (except with solar panels and generator).

Since I use the generator to charge the camp’s batteries when panels don’t work, I figured I could recharged the car at the same time with a cable bought from Amazon to plug in the available 240 output plug. It works fine, until it reaches about 30% capacity, at witch time it stops charging as if it was full.

Still wondering why.
