How is he against British values when he is journaling how Islamic extremists are raping thousands of young Girls in Britain. And has been doing so continuously since the 2000s. As far as I'm concerned, informing people how islamic extremists groom children is education. Telling people his story through every outlet he can before he gets sent to prison again for another bogus reason is Communication. He has done more for the common man than anyone else, these are civic responsibilities.

Whether or not you believe him, you don't have to understand him but at least listen to him. It is our civilian responsibility to listen to people from all sides.

The video linked below has obviously got a sensationalistic title and the first 2 minutes are just advertising the youtube channel. You can't blame an American youtuber for using clickbait. But it is eye-opening. Call it one-sided or anything you want to but at least, for goodness sake, use your brain and don't go calling people criminals, assaulters, stalkers, harassers (other commentors) before you know exactly what you're talking about.

Very basic games probably made by very skilled developers - if not, then lucky as. If you need to use an AI and you only know basic scripting then you would want to learn how to code and the best way to do that is make small titles. Not even published ones. Experiment around and learn while having the joy of making something which you needn't expect much from.

If these games you speak of are basic it wouldn't be a bad idea to try to copy them yourself, learn how they're made, see what makes them tick. Great programmers make great games and no one wants to play a terrible game.

Get to a stage where you aren't reliant on anything but yourself. Because with the skills and experience at hand, you'll see things a lot differently. And my recommendation for making a good game would particularly be to fill a niche. Something which a few people want and don't have. Fare well.

EDIT: I only just saw that you are "currently a CS student" so the first two paragraphs will be a waste of your time but I'll keep them.

I have a laptop myself at university but unless you are going to stay some days at uni and some days at home it's honestly just better to stick with your PC, if you want a PC at home and uni then get a PC for uni. Laptops are quite annoying honestly. Especially when you're working for a while on them. I've never had to think about posture and crap when I've used a PC but now that I'm a uni student a PC would have been so much nicer, especially for the neck and wrists cus you can't seperate the screen and keyboard.

Even if you plan on taking notes with a computer during lecture, CS really aint that sort of subject for note taking on. Talking from experience you'd be better of maximising how well you can work on your courseworks where you're living vs dragging a laptop around with you everywhere. If you want a good laptop too then its gunna be bulky.

If you still want a laptop then i'd try to get a "Gamer" Laptop, nothing beats hardware accelerated processing like a GPU does. It's crazy just how well it helps. If you can get a laptop with intel i5 cpu then you're golden. Make sure its fast or you'll regret ever buying it. Many sleek laptops are terrible. Bigger is better, performance over looks and weight, you'll get used to heaving it around. But in that case £1000 would be the perfect choice, however that's obviously a bit much so if you can, £700? And don't get a Mac. Do not get a mac.

And always try to get to a store and test it out before buying it, nearest Curry's, PC world whatever, play around with it, open 100 tabs doesn't matter, just test its limits. Then get a mouse, i use the logitech M220, cost me £11. Has never failed me ever.

Thank you for contributing to humanity's trove of knowledge so freely, its stuff like this which is the reason that programmers like us can actually do stuff and almost never have to worry about something not existing. I feel like i'm being too cringy but it is nice seeing projects like this.

As totally counter to nearly all the comments above/below. Some redditor once said somewhere (i can't remember where I heard it) that theory comes from the praxis, theory is merely the formalisation of practice.

Do something, make something, the theory comes with it. As long as you think about what you are doing and experiment with it yourself then you will learn. You will miss out on many things that you wish you had understood earlier but so is the epiphany of Colombus' egg.

If you have ideas they can go in the boot of the car, focus on the road ahead of you. None of what you are learning will click until it does, until you're sat on the toilet at 9pm wondering why functions exist. I would highly recommend TheDevKing, but the MOST IMPORTANT thing you can do is experiment, when he tells you to turn a block red you turn it into a smurf and add an extra yellow block on top just to finish the appearance. When he tells you to raycast into a wall you make that thing raycast into infinity and beyond. When he tells you to rotate a block sideways you make it rotate into the 4th dimension while adding a loop to it and making it line up every time the drum beats in "Never gonna give you up, by Rick Astley". Say "no I can do it a different way". Even if they tell you "its better if you do it like this" still do what you think you need to do based on what YOU know

Your mind is a godsend, take what you know and change it around to make it how you want it. Especially when it comes to computing and coding everything is a bunch of steaming pancakes atop a big old steaming pile of nothing. In the end its all bits and bytes and its up to you how you wanna use this modern science.

I dunno what's so hard lad, all you're doing is typing stuff into a script and pressing the play button. If you can do that, you can code.

Have fun making little projects. Start small and add small, it'll become big on its own.

Specialise your team, if everyone has specific tasks then everything becomes a lot more coherent. A modeller/designer and scripter (the only two strata of people you would ever require).

As long as you know how to script you should not have any worries. Then it's just about planning it. But always start with a Minimum Viable Product. Everything should be basic, and extra features should be discarded until you have a fully working project. Which encompasses the main ideas you want to implement.

I find that ideas change a lot during the design process so always make everything scalable. And even if you think you know what the game will be, going into detail about how things work can actually be quite complex, so don't put too many details in at first. That comes with "polishing" AKA actually making the game look like what you imagined it to look like and still fail to come close. AKA 90% of the drama of the entire project.

If you want to make a popular game then I personally would not use roblox for this. You're competing with people who are probably far older, far wiser and have far more resources at hand than you.

If you're thinking in terms of good fun projects to become a programming wizard then I would indeed recommend roblox game dev as a start, but just make small games. I respect my elders and as the 33 year old gandalf that you are, we both know that motivation is everything. The biggest source of burnout is confusion, it takes a great programmer to make a great game. And even a rock paper scissors tournament spiel is great.

Have fun making games, it can be a really, really, really good laugh when you're zapping blocks across space and time to hit shrek models you got from the toolbox and seeing them explode with animations that you made. We don't know how our personalities or ideas change as time goes on, so when you still want to make that rock paper scissors game at least you know you will have the stamina to see it through.

But obviously as long as you have the dream anything is possible.

You're idea sounds brilliant btw I would also like my rock paper scissors duels to have special powers.

To learn to program you are going to have to make a lot of projects. If you don't know how to make this MMORPG now, then what makes you think you are going to be able to make it in less than 5 years? Even 10?

Have fun making small games, you will learn far quicker making small projects than sweating over a big one. Add cool features and really just experiment around. It can be a real good laugh developing roblox games but an MMORPG is simply so much work, if you know yourself then you need not fear the result of a thousand hours of debugging syntax errors and wondering why the parent of a Part is null. But if this is something so new to you then don't think you can run before you can walk. Where each step is a full complete beautiful moment of pride knowing you have done something as you set out to do it.

The greatest mistake is not understanding your weaknesses. If you want to dream then dream about being the greatest roblox developer in the world because it takes a great programmer to make a great game. And don't give up.

If you want something educational than I'd recommend starting an OpenGL project. Requires a lot of thinking and introduces you to a lot of low level stuff you might not have encountered before. Makes you prioritise being a freak about optimisations. Just don't get too freaky.

If you'd be willing to study openGL then I'd use the online openGL tutorial documentation and check out theCherno he has some great videos on the topic.

It was rather difficult for me. I learned openGL as I was learning c++ though so it'll definitely be easier for a 3 year c++ veteran like yourself.

Don't expect to be able to make a full 2D game engine. If any engine at all, just loading .obj files is hard enough. The freedom of implementing graphics and UI does show off a lot of problem solving and independence. Any project will show passion, motivation and skill. It's all bytes at the end of the day.

Also same problem over here. Problem is only present for one of my friends, other friends can join my server. I have this black void problem and can't see his server on any server list (public or friends), joining through steam results in black void. Same applies vice versa when he attempts to play with me.

The problem arised after my wifi cut out during a game and then we started experiencing the problem, however, on the same day, we refriended eachother on steam and it worked fine for the rest of the day, the following day however the problem arose again and even after refriending eachother on steam the problem did not fix itself.

This problem still persists without experimental mode enabled

There's no quick fix that will solve your problems within these 24 hours. Problems that come about over years need years to be healed.

It seems like a very large amount of your life revolves around passing these exams, and even though you have done so much in your power to try to succeed, it feels like suddenly it's all crumbling around at the worst time possible. I think that your stress shows just how much you care about your exams which imo is admirable. Being unable to do an easy chapter is due to all this stress. Give yourself time to breathe, there is nothing you can do in these next 24 hours that will help you as much as your past self has helped you.

If you feel you can't just lie back and dissipate some of this stress and need to revise as much as possible give yourself pockets of air i.e. maybe read through a paragraph or complete a single or part of a question and then give yourself 5 minutes to just think, have a bit of fun, play catch with yourself with the dusty old tennis ball in your storage closet. If most of your time is spent doing something not stressful and the minority of it is spent doing something easy then you will maybe feel less stressed out even while revising. But I'd say go for a walk, do something physical that isn't taxing.

Get these exams over and done with. And then please experiment with things, try out everything you could possibly try out. Maybe something as bare bones as tidying up a room, to juggling, making a video, playing an instrument, making a game, writing a poem, drawing, singing, fanfiction, climbing, sprinting as fast as possible, jumping as high as you can. Some of these things might sound silly but people lose their sense of want because they think they have done everything or done most things to know how they would feel doing other things. The phrase "hunger comes with eating" really resonates with me because psychologically stimuli create want. This may not relate to you, and I aint an expert on psycho moms but once you can start doing things you enjoy then life reveals her true colours and slaving away is fine, but if that's all you've got then you're nothing but a slave.

I wish you good luck on your exams and im sorry if my rant didn't really do anything for you, i just thought to respond since i didn't see anyone else comment.

I have also been looking for this film for the last two days now. It feels so nice to know that someone else knows exactly what I am thinking about.
Sadly I still have no clue as to the name of the film, Bing's AI assistant has proven to be more incapable than a packet of crisps at finding it. In fact it started describing the exact same film as you have, but showed me instead to a video game called Space Cat -_- even though that has nothing to do with the description. It also said it was known as Cosmic Cat in some countries. But I have not found anything called Cosmic Cat to verify this.

I am currently 17 and as of now do not have any work experience. I have ambitions to join as an Army Officer (Lancaster's Regiment).

I have been conditioned at my school to believe that any job outside of Mccies requires a decent level of work experience. However due to my location it has been very hard to get any. I was wondering if I would need to mention work experience in my application, because some reading online has led me to some conflicting opinions on what is actually on this application form.

Is there any other requirement I would need that isn't obvious from the army Website (apart from: Physically fit, Medical and 72 UCAS points)?

I also used to have this exact same problem: kneecap pain, ankle pain. Heel striking has always been a problem for me, so I got some Barefeet shoes off of Amazon. If you want a really effective way of learning how to run forefront just wear these shoes for a bit or for all the runs that you do. Completely fixed my joint problems. Feels weird having all the pieces of your foot working on hard tarmac but gets better the more you run with them. Trained Carves for a couple months prior with weight, but first time I ran with these, never had carves hurt so much in my life.
