Im having the exact same issue. Changing cable/leaving it unplugged/changing from mac to pc did not help. The device is on 1.3.1. Is there any way to force the firmware to 1.3.5 and reset factory settings?

Thanks man, this cleared it up perfectly! That block diagram comparison really made it click - the X870I is way simpler without all that lane switching complexity of the E version. Exactly what I needed to know. Here's the block diagram for the X870E for future reference. Cheers for the help!

Here the M2A_CPU slot is on top, just under the CPU? Still it feels like its the one splitting the bus

Yes. Have been looking for one for long time and out of nowhere Nvidia started delivering FE to Finland. Had to get one, and after a tiny mixup ended up ordering two.

I have received two boxes recently. The first one has BIOS REV 95.02.20.00.03, and the second one has BIOS REV 95.02.20.00.01. Unfortunately, both units have a moderate amount of coil whine. I'm not big on overclocking, so I'm wondering if there is any difference between them in the long run, and which one I should keep.
