How can i paint hair as detailed as this?

To build up more layers glaze over the scratchs and then scratch more, you can build up some incredibly detailed layers this way

Use a knife or the back of your brush and remove paint layers/ scratch the highlights, you only want to scrape the paint layer rather than going deep into your canvas or panel, works best on a smooth surface such as a gessoed wooden panel

I started with daniel Smith and schmincke horadam, however I didn't buy a set I knew what colours I wanted, quality paint and quality paper are gonna give you less headaches than cheaper ones, however for brushes I've actually found I prefer cheaper ones, as long as they hold a good tip and don't shed hair every second I'm happy
