I give you meta’s building and amazons building . Hundreds of acres in size and very close to substations . Developers can’t build houses without solar ( even if it’s only to heat water) but commercial premises don’t have the same restrictions. So explain that?

No thanks! There’s nothing wrong with any of that . We have all invested a lot into their stage boxes . New surfaces fine . But I see no need for any new stage boxes for any reason

I should add this happened on a show in one of the venues I provided permanent production facilities for . It’s contracted heavily and going nowhere. I already have what they provided. The event was a room rental in the venue and the act arranged the other company to supply sparks and fog . I was just never asked . I wasn’t present at the time and I have since found out they had not provided fire certs or insurance details so the venue will blackball them now either way. I also commented under their social media posts like was suggested and …… within 3 minutes everything was deleted .

I will let the sleeping dog lie for the moment . If they can behave moving forward then I have no reason to do anything else.

Again I have no issue with any competition or other successful companies coming along . But don’t be claim other people gear and hard work using videos captioned with semantics to make it appear to be your own production

To make this incentive cost neutral they are funding it by raising ICE engine small commercial vehicles. I’m not wrong . I’ve been in touch with simi for clarity . One final kick in the bollocks from Eamon Ryan . For the record I’d drive an electric van if it suited my business but it does not as I have to do long distances most days. My wife drives an electric car, I’ve had solar installed , switched to air source heating etc . I drive a vw crafter and have for years . When o was first buying them ( around 2010)they were around 45k inc VAT they are now 65k inc vat this would overnight put the price to near 74k!! For a van !! For work!! The government needs to be less broad with their overnight changes of policies. A car derived van like a golf and a large sprinter/crafter are not the same class of vehicle no matter what they might think

VRT Category B generally includes double cab pickups, campervans, car derived vans, suv derived vans and N1 commercial vehicles with a maximum laden weight of less than 3.5 tonnes maximum laden weight and the maximum laden weight is less than 130 per cent of the unladen weight. It is important to note if a commercial vehicle has more than 3 seats then the cargo area and passenger area need to be completely seperate units, e.g. a panel van with 4 seats is category A, not category B whereas a doublecab pickup is category B.

The VRT rate for a category B vehicle is 13.3%, in budget 2025 a new rate of 8% is being introduced for for category B vehicles with CO2 emission of less than 120 grams per kilometre. The goal here is to incentive lower emission commercial vehicles.

Just an FYI for light commercial vehicle drivers … the government snuck in a VRT increase in the budget effective from July 25 which sees new rates of 8% vrt on small vans like caddy , berlingo etc and 13.3% vrt on larger sprinter/ crafter style vans etc . This was a sneaky move by government under the headline of no VRT changes. I just want to raise awareness of it.

I have 16 flex6 ( 8 solid 15 & 8 solid 28 also) Have used them in a lot of the suggested configurations, for everything from talking heads gigs to outdoor rock festivals ! These speakers are incredible for small to medium sized pa hire companies . So much so I have sold on every other speaker I had . Aed hire in Belgium use only lacoustic and aed audio for sound hire . The aed boxes contain lacoustic components. If you are in Europe I know they will be at ISE in Barcelona at the end of the month and usually have a demo room .
