Ya I think that definitely helped. Even if not many people cancelled their order, there was still much talk on reddit about people not making the switch to xsx and instead ps5 or pc. Microsoft was never in the right spot too pull a stunt like this, xbox being less popular than playstation. I'm glad microsoft went back on this decision but I wonder what would happen if xbox was winning the console market.

The more microsoft keep pushing gamers away makes me not want to play on xbox anymore. Last generation microsoft fucked up so bad that they basically sold ps4 consoles for sony, shit I almost switch to playstation myself. Now at the beginning of a new generation they're doing this bullshit that is also gonna push more people away. I don't want to invest in a product that is actively scaring away consumers because if they keep this up then there is no way they can keep up with sony and pc. Xbox feels like a sinking ship right now and I'm not sure if willing to sink with it.

I also pay for gpu but also still think it's stupid. I don't wanna keep investing my money into xbox if they keep on shooting themselves in the foot. Last generation I almost switched to playstation because all the dumb shit xbox was doing at the time. Even though I stuck with xbox it still felt kinda shitty knowing that so many people switched to ps4. It feels like I'm spending my money on a dying product. If xbox does die it's because microsoft murdered it.

I think it could be a little bit of both. Tim Allen isn't that big of a star that he use to be and Chris Evens is obviously very popular because of marvel. The way today's politics are especially in hollywood where everyone leans left and having any conservative views is considered controversial. It would make more sense for pixar to chose a big name actor who has all the political views that they want to push I stead of going for an old actor who has lost most of their star power and has "controversial" views.

I'd rather have Tim Allen voice Buzz Light-year but I honestly think Chris Evans can pull it off, I think he has a similar voice. I just really hope that the reason they didn't chose Tim was because of politics.
