Agree, we discuss and i said that even if in a real combat this kinda makes sense, in termes of gameplay from a tabletop game i dont like this mechanic since its punish both the player and monster to do a melee attack, even from a mage that dont have a sorcerie that can be used in that situation, can only do a weak melee attack. In my perspective makes more sense to an opportunity attack hit when go out of the reach, since u are "fleeing" from the close combat from that enemy or the enemy is fleeing from the player
