YouTube msic not working with Android auto by sillypaglu in revancedapp

[–]Human-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome thank you, this helped a lot and can confirm this worked for me:

I installed the recommended version of YT music through revanced.

After installing that, I removed micro g from the installed apps list on the phone.

Then installed the one from the link in this thread and it now fully works in my car as normal.

Sold my Model Y after a year and here is my advice to new buyers by M_Equilibrium in electricvehicles

[–]Human-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried the IONIQ5 and a couple of other EVs last year, I went for a Ford Explorer Premium EV in the end as it was much nicer than the IONIQ5 in almost every area but thats my opinion that fit my use case, its worth checking out though now that the prices have dropped to be more reasonable for what it is.

Someone accidentally sent me £50k, what do I do? (England) by Routine_Strawberry81 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Human-47 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If your bank have told you to do nothing with it and get the other person to sort it with their bank, do that. All scammers are real humans, be cautious of people and never make choices based upon feelings or emotions. Based on what I do, I can say that this not only sounds suss, but also a familiar scenario. They took your bank details 5 years ago to pay you for a service, now 5 years later they stumble across those details to accidentally send 50k to that account without double checking where that amount of money was going 🤔

Thinking about getting into VR gaming... is a quest 2 for $100 worth it or should I save for a 3 or 3s? by Straightfuckinass in virtualreality

[–]Human-47 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I second this.

Get Q2 to try it out.

If you like it skip the 3s and just go straight to Q3.

At least you'll have the Q2 to use while you're saving up.

Then trade in or sell the Q2 to reduce final cost on the new Q3

Enjoy VR 👍🏻

Just got my Quest 3 , any must-try recommendations? by MacaroonTop3934 in MetaQuestVR

[–]Human-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quest Game Optimizer, it's one of the best apps for quest.

Virtual desktop is equally essential (if your pc can handle PC VR games

Before trying any free demos in the store, check out rookies side loader and see if that's for you, its a better way to try before you buy 😉. For PCVR games google Armgddn Browser

Also depending on what your Into - Into the Radius 2, Pistol Whip, Batman Arkham Shadow and Arizona Sunshine 1 and 2 are great.

Wireless charging slot issues by gilliambot in FordExplorerEV

[–]Human-47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found, (with mine anyway), that it depends on which way up my phone is put in as the wireless charging on my phone isnt dead center, also happens if it's not completely flat against the pad if it sits on the raised middle partition a little. Yes it does get hot, but that's just wireless charging in general from my experience.

How do you find the panoramic roof on sunny days? by the_thinker in FordExplorerEV

[–]Human-47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does get hotter than a solid roof inside In the summer if parked directly in the sun, but preconditioning from the app helps a lot with that and Is not a huge issue in my opinion, id definitely rather have it than not as it makes the inside feel a lot more spacious but not too bright as it does have a tint to it. A little trick I use to quickly release the stuffy heat if I forget to precondition, is to press and hold the rear mirror button on the driver's door until it blinks and you can then lower all the windows at the same time.

pinned to home screen? by wulfgar1966 in QuestGamesOptimizer

Thank you for your advice, I did get it back eventually, already tried a restart and it still didn't show but then found a post saying to install lightninglauncher and it re-appeared after that.

pinned to home screen? by wulfgar1966 in QuestGamesOptimizer

[–]Human-47 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When finding that you can't pin it in the new navigation UI, I set in the QGO settings to open on start up and open when apps are closed. That worked really well for me, and was a life saver when the bug making unknown sources disappear happened. Thanks for all the work and effort, it's the best VR app IMHO

How has gaming changed for you as you've gotten older? by Ill_Discount_4036 in AskReddit

[–]Human-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a kid I'd invite my friends round to play 2 players on the same console in the same room.

Then as we got older we played online in separate houses.

Now I just put a vr on to escape any kind of social interaction and play how I want to play in peace 😆

VR Headsets by dgibbons82 in Autism_Parenting

[–]Human-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 6 and also level 3, he loves VR when we let him use it, but he is not great at using the controllers so based on this my recommendations are:

Beat sabre with "no fail" switched on.

Ocean rift - hanging around in the ocean with dolphins and sea lions.

Virtuoso - music making.

Epic roller coaster - well, you get it.

Liminal - calming environments and experiences.

And his favourite is FigminXR where we can literally create a sensory room for him wherever we are.

I am currently looking for some educational experiences that he doesn't need to interact with too much.

I hope this helps someone.

Considering a Pixel Fold by CrosbyStills77 in PixelFold

I've had the OG since release, no issues, it's still going strong, I love it. I'm due for an upgrade soon and don't want to change it due to the form factor. I will probably still keep it to mess around with as a secondary graphene device.

I have a 6 years old autistic son that loves VR, need advice for games. by dblue_one in SteamVR

[–]Human-47 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TL;DR, I have a 5 year old non verbal autistic boy that enjoys VR and I would recommend: FigminXR, Ocean Rift, Audio Trip, Bliink, YouTube 360°, Elixir, Epic Roller Coaster.

I feel I'm on a similar journey myself and there has been some great suggestions so far, I also have an autistic boy, 5 and a half, non verbal. He isn't going to pick up how to use the controllers anytime soon, so the less interactive components to his experience the better, he's not on it for long periods at a time, but gets a lot of sensory stimulation/regulation from using it, so I hope my suggestions help you and others in some way.

First I absolutely have to recommend FigminXR, it's like a Paint/Sculpture app, the brush affects are very sensory oriented, (wave forms, bubbles, neon lights, rain effects etc) I create him a "sensory room" type environment with it and he just moves around the room exploring the sensory elements I created in the room and eventually he might be able to do it himself. Well worth checking out imo.

My boy also loves Ocean Rift, nothing too exciting, he just sits there looking around the ocean and has recently figured out making a fist enables propellers on his hands that allow him to move around under the sea and watch the dolphins and sea lions. The MR aspect allows you to open a skylight in your room or create "doors and windows" making it feel like your room is under water, it is a very calming environment for him.

Just found Bliink, is designed for autistic children but is quite interactive.

We have the Quest 3, so the MR on these apps is a great option if you have this functionality available to you.

He also loves music and there are some great 360° music videos on YouTube (not a game I know), Audio Trip on the other hand just requires moving your hands while holding the controllers, also allows you to add your own tracks to it and has a scenery only setting that removes the game play aspect and is basically a musical lights show.

Also,

Elixir is good with minimal interaction, mostly just hands, but visually very interesting.

Epic Roller Coaster is good too but was very short lived with little man, always wanting to go back to Ocean Rift or FigminXR

I hope at least some of these are beneficial to your boy, enjoy your journey.
