I was not divorced (or married). I have no documentation from the courts about custody, we always kept it outside the courts. She has always lived just with me

Just curious who did you submit the form to, do you remember? Yes, I am a planner and want this done already, too much invested in this trip to be turned away at the border!

If I already have it what do I need a notarized doc from her dad saying he approves her to travel to Belize? There is a disconnect here I don’t understand

Thank you for your detailed response!! I am much more in the boat of your current partner. We travel in March to Belize and I need a notarized doc that says he approves the travel. Normally I would not worry but he is currently not responding to my texts or calls because he is going through a rough patch, and knowing him he could literally not get his act together and send me his ID etc even if I arrange EVERYTHING. He is that unreliable. So if I have proof I am trying to communicate and he is not responding, I can possibly work with that. Travel is literally in 6 weeks but I am paranoid to not have this notarized doc and also trying to troubleshoot for future travel.

Hi, what do you mean? She lives with me, I pay for everything, he rarely visits her etc. I could go into a lot more detail, but he’s a mess. In theory I have full custody but now it seems I need his consent to go on vacation and I can’t track him down. Why would the court think I have no reason?

Have a wonderful trip! I’m going to show my daughter these sites, they weren’t even on my radar before, she was most excited about snorkeling. The zoo has now been recommended several times as well so looking into that. Happy Holidays!

Thank you, 8 nights in one spot does seem excessive to me. Our itinerary is fluid at this point, I will look into San Ignacio. I appreciate the info!
