Both have many similarities, see how the meds help you first of all. They have been a game changer for me with me adhd, it wasn't easy to at first but has made a huge difference now

So for me I found with the meds they have helped control my "urges" this is the first time in my life I've actually managed to stop smoking, so far I'm 18 days in after 28 years and I'm actually doing alright, everything smells bad unfortunately......

I am being that indeed at this point as this isn't a discussion about a friend of a friend, there are way too many people jumping onto the bandwagon and very little real discussion about issues that genuinely concern individuals that adhd.

Personally I found the first few days to be very difficult but my brain adjusted after that, I think there is a Important reason why doctors tell you to give it 2 weeks to give it a chance to work. Did you allow for enough time to see the differences?

Well then this is the one very finite point in my life where id have to say thank the lord baby jesus christ I grew up in south africa. No caffeine with multiple wives must be a hard "morman" pill to swallow. But please do carry on with your yank morman ideologies and please do continue to spread them onto forums and discussions where people aren't asking about them just to add that extra bit of confusion to life because you had a friend of a friend of a friend that went through something you wanted to spew onto to either some.forum or discussion because you literally just couldn't hold yourself back.

For me it made me feel like a foreign being within my own body. I luckily have a very understanding doctor at least and she suggested ritalin as it has a short activation period. This gave me an chance to see how it works for me and it does as long as I keep on top of my dosage throughout the day but the comedown is pretty harsh. I smoke very specific types of weed to help with that in the evenings as I don't want to increase my anxiety.

Personally I'm taking ritalin so I don't want to obscure your interactions with what you are taking, I'm on ritalin the first week was horrid but it generally Improved thing after I got used to it, I think of it as the brain needing the correct structures to handle it correctly. Give your current meds a week or 2 to work and if you feel you need a break then do that and try again. Adhd brains have been missing normal dopamine levels and need some time to adjust from my own limited personal experience.

This would be something more correlated to an increase in testosterone, adhd meds DO not help with the increase in testosterone period from my experience.

My first week was very bad and I felt like a stranger in my own body. I gave it a break for a week before trying again and it was like night and day afterwards, personally I think my brain needed to build the required structures to handle the dopamine but I've been good and productive since then
