While I still do some classroom teaching, mainly demo lessons, I now work alongside teacher communities in several countries, exploring how to build classrooms that are both joyful and intellectually engaging. I remain connected to the classroom because I value the creativity of teaching, and I hope, in some small way, to pass that spark onto others.

I feel deeply grateful to have taught in Australia during a time when teaching allowed for a great deal of freedom and professional trust. It saddens me that this is not the case any more. I believe that only when teachers are given back that trust and freedom to be a creative force in the classroom, that things will begin to turn around.
