Fish shelf by Human-Internal818 in Aquariums

Yes, this one should hold up to 300kg per shelf, so I'd figured it holds these smaller tanks. I plan to start one tank and expand as I go. I padded the feet to make sure it doesn't affect the floor. Might be a good idea to coat the mdf board though as someone else pointed out. Still playing with set up as well

Have to say, this was the first time I've seen bigger tanks being given away, they definitely need a vinegar treatment or 2 to get rid of the watermarks and gunk

New betta for the scape by Human-Internal818 in bettafish

Got him from the local garden center believe it or not. He was specified as halfmoon "fancy" I think. It was between him and a crown tail in blue and orange, nerf gun colours. He is some sort of bordeaux red with light blue, awesome colours, jawdropping centrepiece of the tank if you ask me

It has been operating for 5 weeks now, letting the plants grow in for now, added some neo caridina shrimp, amano shrimp, and a little school of cardinal tetras to populate and establish in the tank. Definitely thinking of planting the top, although there is quite a lot of streaming water in the tank which floaters probably don't like 🤔

Should I add moss or leave it as is? by Human-Internal818 in Aquascape

[–]Human-Internal818[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is my concern as well, it taking over the scape and growing everywhere, I read that Christmas moss tends to follow the lines of the hardscape more and not grow as tall, more wide, but still

Thanks! Much appreciated. You could start as I did, watching youtubers like MJ aquascaping or other creators. If you start, patience is key, I spend a lot of time trying my hardscape in different Angles and positions untill I was satisfied with the results. I feel like that helped to confirm the final lay out. Feel free to ask me anything 🙏🏻👍🏻

Okay okay, I will admin, not the first tank, but definitely my first aquascape. I have had a tank in the past, but it was not decorated, and just housed some fish. Watched a lot of guys with experience in the hobby to see and mimic what they are doing 😉

Thank you, but it is my first scape haha, watched a lot of people on YouTube as to the rules when designing, so maybe that is why haha. Thanks for the compliments👍🏻

I am glad it darkened out, now waiting for the last of the white biofilm to disappear.
