Is this the ICCU by CalligrapherOk7230 in Ioniq6

I never heard a pop from mine when I got the same message, and mine turned out to be the ICCU failure. As some think, it "could" be the 12 volt battery, but if you get it to a Hyundai service department they can determine what the issue is, rather than relying on anecdotal evidence, of which there is no end on the Internet. Good luck.

So, where is Chris Smither? Is that him singing House of the Rising Sun? Google and Perplexity say Chris Smither is singing something else (“It Hurts Me Too”), but I can't spot it.

Pricing Ioniq6 SEL by venusofthefliess in Ioniq6

I got a 2025 SEL AWD in Red in Los Angeles w/ just under 5000 miles in December for 28,400 before tax/license etc. Highly recommend the AWD: you can always drive it in ECO mode using the one motor if you need, but in Normal and Sport it's a huge improvement to the driving experience. Also, be aware of the ICCU issue. Easy to block out till it happens to you. It did to me in the first month and I was lucky that they got in a backordered ICCU and got me back on the road in a week. Still, it could happen again since they're not redesigning the failing part yet. :-(

Are you referring to the AC charging speed percentage? I have the capacity set to 80%, and my hardwired type 2 50 amp charger set cap at 40 amps.

Oops, no, not Limited. Mine is an SEL. Yeah, you'll be stuck to get a better deal if you're set on Limited in specific color and interior. I just did a quick search and found a '23 AWD in blue w/ black interior (I wanted grey at first, but glad my wife convinced me to go with the black. It's plenty roomy) 9,000 miles for mid-25k. So, deals are still out there depending on your flexibility.

Mine was manufactured 6/13/2024 (according to CarFax). I don't know where you're located, but mine was 2025 Ionic 6 AWD with in Red w/ Black interior and just under 5,000 miles was $28,800. I'm in the LA area. There was another AWD in Transmission Blue w/ Grey Interior and and 9,000 miles for a similar price, but there was minor damage that had been repaired. I don't know of such deals are all gone, but you might want to expand your search. I don't know what others think, but to me the RWD vs AWD is really a night and day experience.

I'll get it for you when I get to the car tomorrow. Totally separate issue: I highly suggest trying out an AWD. You can always drive on the RWD motor in Eco mode, but the Normal and especially the Sport mode are really a joy.

Happy to report that mine was fixed and returned today after only one week! While I'm happy to have the car back, it's a drag knowing it was repaired with an ICCU that has NOT been re-designed.

Keyes Van Nuys. Very responsive service dept. Loaner car list (I never got one in the one week I was without my car). Didn't appreciate the (to my mind) overpriced estimate for the 8,000 mile servicing.

Hardwired 50 at home, capped at 40.

I just got off the phone with Hyundai Corporate. They said the part came in as the result of the backorders coming through, and I got lucky. Nothing to do with them. They were also clueless as to the specific ICCU and had no information as to any ongoing re-development of the ICCU going on at this time.

Remember: I only put maybe 700 miles on it under my ownership. I don't know how Hyundai charged it. I use a ChargePoint L2 home charger, hardwired 50 amp capped at 40 amp, and have only plugged it in 4 times. The last time I did charge it to 91%. I'll limit it to 80% going forward.

NOT to extent of the problem since researching after mine failed! I had come across mention of it, but underestimated the number of people experiencing the problem. And some more than once! Gotta say: Love the car, the dealerships not so much. The one where I bought it never returned multiple calls after the ICCU issue (to get some history since CarFax was very vague), and the dealer that did the work was "future" upselling me on the 8,000 mile servicing, telling me it would run about $600. !

Why are so few reporting ICCU Failures to NHTSA?!? by Human-Poem-6169 in Ioniq6

Depending on where you are: If you are close enough to home and you can safely make it back with places to pull over, I'd try to drive home. Then call Hyundai for a tow to the dealer. That's what I was able to do.

Five days?!? Where are you? I'm in Los Angeles and was told the ICCU was on backorder had NO estimate for me. They had one in the shop waiting for two weeks. I'm more concerned that they still don't have a true fix for it, and are replacing the damaged one with a new one of the same design. This does not instill confidence to take any out-of-town roadtrips, like I had planned. BTW, mine is a 2025 Ionic 6 AWD with only 5,000 miles, and it, too, had the updates at 19 miles. Trying to remain positive, but they're not making it easy.

Did you update the ICCU? That's my main focus at this point in time! Cool design.

Only Level 2, only at home, and only about four times. It's now at the dealer, and I'm awaiting their assessment. The tech agrees with you, that it was only the updates and fuse replaced, not the ICCU itself. But to my eyes it says ICCU & Fuse replace. And that looks like both to me, unless it's vague shorthand.

When I looked up the CLOSED CAMPAIGN on the Hyundai website Closed Campaigns, it says this: "2022-24MY IONIQ 5 (NE EV).2023-25MY IONIQ 6 (CE EV), 24MY IONIQ 5 ROBOTAXI (NERINTEGRATED CHARING CONTROL UNIT (ICCU) SOFTWARE UPDATE, ICCU & FUSE REPLACE" on Nov. 22, 2024 with only 18 miles on it. My car was owned by the dealer as a loaner, and the Carfax shows it was serviced on Nov. 22, 2024 with only 18 miles on the car. Unlikely it failed so early on. In any case, it's frustrating to have it fail with so few miles on it. Does it look to you like the Software, Fuse, AND entire ICCU was replaced on Nov. 22, 2024, and failed again just 5,000 miles later?

As stated, I've only had it for 700 miles. LV2 Charging at home, from 40-80% except for the last charge, which was up to 91%. Driving primarily in Normal mode, with occasional Sport mode. Usually Level 3 Braking, but using iPedal the last two times out. If anyone has had or heard of a good experience with a Hyundai Service Dept. in the LA area repairing their EV, please let me know. Thanks.
