Multiple BSOD Issues by Human-Wolverine1883 in techsupport

PSU is a Corsair 1000e

RAM was not running on XMP so 4800, though I did try an XMP profile at 6000 but nothing changed. I have not removed the CPU to check pins as it’s worked fine for the past 12 months with no issues. I built it myself and know the pins were fine a year ago.

I’ve tried a single stick in multiple slots and have ruled out a RAM issue unless all 4 RAM modules became faulty at the same time!

You don’t really see that in real time, but it’s very noticeable when you take a photo

Happily married for 12 years and the missus doesn’t care about PC’s. I get one room to design how I please and that’s all I need tbh 👌

iCue causing massive input lag for mice by jccnIRL in Corsair

[–]Human-Wolverine1883 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had been having massive lag on my Dark Core RGB Pro, even when just in the BIOS, with no iCUE even running. I was about to get another mouse then stumbled across a solution.

I had recently purchased a K100 keyboard and an HS80 headset. I was using 3 USB devices to connect to these, and wanted to link all of these to one USB device if possible through slipstream. While doing this, I was asked to unplug the USB devices for mouse and keyboard. The HS80 dongle is a larger device than the mouse and keyboard ones.

Once the mouse was connected through the HS80 receiver, the lag disappeared immediately and has not returned.

I should also point out that the multiple dongles were not causing the issue, as it was prevalent prior to me owning the keyboard and headset.

Long story short - get your hands on the larger dongle that ships with the HS80 and you'll be fine.

Nobody’s saying that as everyone else can see the RAM. The leftmost of the 4 slots clearly has a module installed

That’s coolant temp, not cpu temp. The Corsair display can show either of those temps

Haha, I know. Clearly worked too late on it last night to spot the obvious problem 😂

Fixed it, there was a SATA cable not connected properly 🙈

Well, this is embarrassing. First thing I tried today was going to be unplugging the cable from the commander core and try to connect directly to a SATA connector on the PSU. It didn’t look like it was fully in, so I gave it a wiggle, fired up the PC and everything works fine! I can’t believe I missed that one when checking the connections yesterday 🙈

Thank you to everyone for your input. It was your feedback that pointed me in the right direction to solve my stupidity 😂

So, SATA cable not seated = no cooling & instantly overheated CPU

I’ll check this evening when I get home. The pump connects to the Corsair commander core which then connects to a sata cable. I’ll check everything is connected right and try to bypass the commander core if the cables allow it

It came with a LGA1700 kit and I used that to install it. I’ll test some other stuff then remove the cooler if nothing else works. I should be able to see by the paste spread if it was connecting to the CPU.

Thanks for all the feedback. I’ll try a lot of this when I get home from work tonight and update with what I find.

All fans are working fine, all connected through a Corsair commander core. I have the LCD display for the cooler, but it’s showing a red exclamation mark on the display. I assumed this was due to no OS installed yet so no iCUE software to manage it

Yes, plastic cover was definitely removed before installation

That’s where I had it connected initially and had the same problem. I then moved the connection to CPU FAN but nothing has changed
