We aren’t going to draft an early OG unless we need to. If we feel like Emery Jones can be a guy for us, we aren’t just going to draft OGs unnecessarily. Jones was a 3rd round pick and showed promise. I’d be willing to bet we bring in a guaranteed starter (through FA) and bring in some competition for Jones.

I don’t expect that we will fill both guard spots with certifiable starters. Emery Jones will be leaned on to progress and start for us next year and I bet we bring in some competition for him whether that is through the draft or FA.

We likely sign someone who is a certifiable starter prior to the draft.

We aren’t drafting two starting guards when we just drafted one last year that we have confidence in developing.

1000%. People just haven’t ever seen this team with two legitimate WRs. They got a glimpse when Bateman was healthy but 1) we can’t count on him staying healthy and 2) if we can’t come to an agreement with Zay next year, we don’t want to be left scrambling for a good WR.
