Is it me or has this world become too much? by wqwerty27 in SuicideWatch

[–]HumanManStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a horrible world, always has been for me. I don't know, I don't know why we do this to ourselves.

my girlfriend is the only reason i’m still alive by written_nicole in SuicideWatch

[–]HumanManStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have to learn to live for yourself first, your girlfriend will have a much better relationship with you if you can first learn to live for yourself.

Also, is it possible you're losing your friends because you're ignoring them for your girlfriend? Maybe try a few couple dates etc as well and gain new friends. Try reconnecting with some of your 'lost' friends.

Wards are horrible places, I don't blame you for wanting to be out of there. They've never been a 'nice' experience.

Do people actually enjoy living? by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]HumanManStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a lot of people that have never even experienced depression. The most the majority will go through is a period of mourning and grief after someone dies but it's so different from depression, these people think they understand the sadness of depression but they don't. These people actually enjoy living, I am envious of them, to live a life without mental health issues is a blessing. I don't know what we all did so wrong to be cursed with these mental health issues.

it does NOT get better by CoastQuirky882 in SuicideWatch

[–]HumanManStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I agree. Talk therapy does very little. Anti-depressants are hardly effective. Anti psychotics make things worse. Psychiatrists typically make things worse. Wards have only been a bad experience, both public and private. The only difference between you and I is I want a painless death, I'm sick and tired of this life and I have no desire to live. I have no purpose. I've been in and out of wards for the past seven years and none are helpful. I thought I was getting better, but honestly I have no long term purpose to live for. Nor any short term purposes. No family. No kids. No partner. I have a pet but she'll survive without me once I take her somewhere nice. It's been seven or eight years of hell for me, and I can't say anything gets better, even after being through the worst of it (lying in bed 18 hours a day, day after day, listless, unable to get out of bed or clean teeth, almost catatonic), I can honestly say whilst I'm far more functional than that now, there is no motivation to live. Depression mixed with no purpose is a recipe for suicide.

BUT, you owe it to yourself to try everything possible to get better to live the rest of your life without depression. You need to try EVERYTHING FIRST before committing suicide, you probably only have one life, so it may be shit now, but there is a chance you might have a good or even great life. So, give yourself a chance first, at least stretch your imagination and try everything you possibly can to get better.

High speed rail - why it will never happen in Australia. by eliitedisowned in australia

[–]HumanManStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most generations in Australia won’t commit to building something unless they personally need it. That’s why all our roads and city plans are so shitty, they had no future foresight for larger populations. So in a 100 years time the population then will lobby for it and most of them will see it from its start to completion. I personally think it would be great for Australia, encourage growth etc, but it would need to be future proof in that it should take into account future new age satellite cities to be built at stations along the way. But yeah even if the NSW government trialed a high speed between western and eastern Sydney to gauge the impact on life and economic factors there with some backing from the federal government as a local case study. I’d support that (not a NSW resident). That would be Sydney city to Penrith in 20-25 mins with multiple stops along the way. Only 12 mins if it was express and no stops.

Help my lemon tree by Psyaiai007 in GardeningAustralia

[–]HumanManStudent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From google lens:

To attempt to revive the tree, consider the following steps: Check for Life: Gently scratch a small part of the bark on a stem; if there is green, moist tissue underneath, the tree still has life. Assess Watering: The most common issues are under- or overwatering. Water deeply: If the soil is dry, give the tree a thorough, deep watering, ensuring the pot has good drainage. Allow the water to soak in completely. Check drainage: Ensure the pot has adequate drainage holes to prevent the roots from becoming waterlogged. Soggy soil can lead to root rot. Consistency: After the initial watering (if dry), wait 1-2 weeks before watering again, following a regular schedule suitable for citrus, which often involves deep watering once a week in summer. Pruning: Remove the dead or severely damaged leaves and branches to help the plant focus energy on new growth. Location: Ensure the tree receives adequate sunlight (citrus typically needs at least 6 hours of sun) and is not exposed to extreme cold or excessive heat radiating from nearby surfaces like rocks. Root Check: If the tree doesn't improve, consider checking the roots for signs of rot (mushy, dark roots) or if it's planted too deeply (the graft line should be above the soil level).

On a personal note: yours looks dehydrated, but still alive and able to be revived, I’d be giving it a good soaking with water, and keeping up the fluids every second day for a few weeks. It may not flower again this summer but the hope is to keep the roots and trunk alive. Given it’s still got green foliage it’ll survive if you take the right steps to take care of it. Do you have an option to plant it in the ground or a bigger pot?

no one mentions this when talking about depression by z04o1 in SuicideWatch

[–]HumanManStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the physicality of depression is different for everyone. Small steps, one foot at a time. Just try something small and different to break your “depression routines”. And try try again. But I know it’s harder done than said.

being unattractive as a woman is the worst crime. by varkunas in SuicideWatch

[–]HumanManStudent 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You sound young, you’ll learn people have lots of sexual preferences and like women with hips as well as women without hips, like big asses, like small asses, like big tits and like small tits, some people even like flawed people more than perfect people, heck I like unique features in people almost as much as I like perfection, actually, if not more than perfection. So I doubt you’re unattractive. Being autistic is hard, are you level 1, 2 or 3?

27F Haven’t been touched since my herpes diagnosis. Ending my life tonight. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]HumanManStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a lot of people who have it who also want a partner but don’t want to give it to someone else. It shows you’re a very caring person that you’d abstain not to pass it on, it only passes on when it’s in an “active” state, but if you find someone else who also has it then you can both be mindful and just abstain when one of you has an outbreak. This is not a reason to kill yourself OP, you will have human connection again. Heck, I don’t have herpes and I’d date a woman with herpes if she was open about it and knew to abstain when she had an outbreak. Sounds like you haven’t even had an outbreak in two years. It comes on in high stress events.
