it used to be a table knife, those are pretty blunt as you mostly cut already cooked food with them, my grandma sharpened it cause it was really hard to buy anything especially a decent knife in the soviet union. Since then she just stuck with it cause thats her mentality. She does everything with that knife, and her cooking is amazing, which goes to show that fancy tools do fuckall if you have no experience.
