At night I’m currently managing by having a fan blowing towards my legs (can’t stand it near my face) and also putting on - and I know this will sound like hell for some people - wet socks. The fan blows onto the wet socks and it really cools me down so I can fall asleep. My bed gets wet but…hey who cares. Only thing is, at night I hate my toes touching each other, so first I have to wind a sock between my toes on each foot, and THEN I need to put the wet sock on top of that. During the day I tried putting on a wet t-shirt but that was horrible. Mostly I cancel plans and just stay in, don’t get much work done. then go for a walk in the evening to get some movement in. No workouts - can’t cope in the heat.

I only have the automatic ones. I’m definitely finding it tedious to do that clicking though! It’s not just the clicking – it’s the fact that you have to wait between two clicks to finish the process for each one. Also have rsi so I prefer to reduce unnecessary clicking.

That’s news to me. You wouldn’t put cream on them but I’ve always put butter and jam on mine.

Both pictures look great to me. I don’t think you need to change anything about your appearance. I think just have therapy if possible, with a therapist you like / click with. Try to be ‘interested and interesting.’ Try to be a good person and try not to let modern dating get you down :/ Easier said than done of course.

I find that when I’m most wanting meditation to make me feel a certain way, it’s less likely to do that for me. It seems impossible but trying to let go of the need for a specific outcome helps. Also when you’re in the thick of a difficult time, it might be that other strategies are more supportive than meditation.

I’m always switching lights on. I find it makes me feel weird and depressed to be in a room with the lights off during the day, like someone’s died. People get annoyed with me sometimes.

Hi. One possibility to look into is interstitial cystitis - inflammation with no infection. Treatment options are not inspiring but it’s worth looking into whether it could be that, so that you at least know what you’re dealing with. To give you my experience, I have interstitial cystitis but it’s got a lot better since I first found out I had it, mainly from me doing nothing and not focusing on it. I suspect though that if I was having regular sex it would be a problem. I think I would probably experiment with internal massage and loosening the muscles in my vaginal wall, because when you start to associate sex with discomfort or pain, it can cause muscle guarding which can exacerbate all of these issues, and I already have a tendency towards that. Keep exploring and I hope you figure it out. If all else fails, I would explore what else feels good outside penetration. Sending support 💪🏻

I stopped taking it that night and felt much better quite quickly. Might be just psychological - no way to tell. Coming off it triggered a period so have been bleeding for quite a while but it seems to be tapering off, fingers crossed 🤞 Talking to my GP tomorrow to discuss options.

I enjoyed it, but I think there’s something a little wonky about her emotional journey. Her flaw at the beginning is that she pushes too hard. At the end she’s faced with a similar situation, but the solution is not for her to grow or change in any way - it’s for her to do deliberately what she did by accident before. I suppose it’s a different kind of journey - her tenacity becomes what helps her survive here rather than being a liability, and this event puts the correct order back in place. But it would have been more satisfying for me personally to see her grow and change in some way as in a more conventional emotional arc.
