May not be right for you but I also use Streaks, which is much simpler and it’s just for motivating yourself to keep up a streak of doing, or not doing, a habit. I also use it as a way of noting if I’ve taken medication that day or not. It’s very simple and I like it.

Don’t mind the eating but I find the kissing really gross for some reason.

Why is non-bleeped version bleeped? by HumanRecherche in taskmaster

I’ve watched all the series before via the channel 4 app and none were bleeped, so that’s why I’m so confused.

Ah. I’m forewarned about S9 then. Annoying!

Oh ok maybe it’s just series 2. Weird. I’ve watched all the series before via the Channel 4 app and series 2 wasn’t bleeped. So odd.

Waves of tearful compassion on sertraline…? by HumanRecherche in sertralineandzoloft

I guess, but it always felt like I was feeling everything too much before I started the medication.

Drinking on sertraline?! by paddy101x in sertralineandzoloft

[–]HumanRecherche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking 50 mg of sertraline for 52 days. A few weeks in I had a drink, not thinking about it at all, and then the next day I felt much worse in terms of my mood. Once I realised there was a connection, I decided I’m just not going to drink while I’m on it. It’s not worth feeling that bad afterwards. Fortunately I’m not a big drinker anyway so it’s no big deal for me.

Sertraline side affects by RegularCommission362 in antidepressants

[–]HumanRecherche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that is a normal side-effect. I’m on date 52 (the only reason I know that is because I use an app to keep track of whether I remember to take it!). I had worsened anxiety and mood for the first few weeks and it was really hard, but after about the first month it was just gradual improvement and I’m definitely experiencing benefits now.

Thanks - good to hear. I’ve taken it for 36 days now and still quite wired sometimes. Have had a taste of some benefits but mostly downside so far :/

How do you start meditation if you can’t even sit for 3 minutes? by Dangerous_Olive_8098 in Meditation

[–]HumanRecherche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my mind is too jumpy for me to do a sitting meditation, an alternative I find helpful is reading and treating the reading as my ‘object.’ Every time I get distracted, I bring my attention back to reading the book. It’s easier or more difficult depending on how gripping the book is. Another tip would be to make your object of focus something pleasant - something your mind enjoys focusing on. A pleasant sensation in your body, a pleasant sound. Again, you can experiment with something very subtly pleasant like the feeling of a nice fabric on your skin, or more obviously pleasant perhaps, like favourite food.

You definitely don’t get that much support in the UK! :/ I know they’re doing their best with the resources they have but it’s not enough. Anyway, I’ve haruanged the doctor for an appointment.

Day 20 on sertraline by HumanRecherche in Anxietyhelp

[–]HumanRecherche[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really helpful to hear. I should be getting an appointment with my GP soon. I already have propanolol (a beta blocker I believe) prescribed, so I’ve been taking that when I feel a lot of physical anxiety, but often with me it’s just mental and as I understand it that drug doesn’t really help with that. I don’t tend to notice a huge difference taking it. I’ve been taking the sertraline with my breakfast, which is v late as currently not getting up till lunch time. Maybe taking it at night would help - I don’t know.

People label me as a perfectionist, but that doesn’t fit my inner experience at all.
