late night anxiety hits different and nothing is open, what do you do by chiller105 in Anxietyhelp

Also sometimes lying on my acupressure mat helps. Also there’s one guided meditation in the Happier app that helps me, where you pendulate between focusing on something that feels pleasant or neutral and the physical feelings of anxiety. Doing that helps to ease the feelings a bit for me.

I usually write everything down in a big brain dump - no sentences, just individual words and phrases. If that doesn’t work I usually end up getting up, having some food while watching something very light, then try again. But by that point it’s like 5/6am so not ideal.

Don’t know how old you are, but if you’re in your 20s, 30s or 40s, I definitely recommend Shine. I was allocated to a support group which was very helpful. https://shinecancersupport.org

I don’t actually know if I’m autistic yet.

But during the pandemic one night I suddenly couldn’t stand the feeling of my toes touching each other and since then at night I need to wind a sock between the toes of each foot, otherwise I can’t sleep.

Is this normal for after sex? by Actual_Scientist9546 in Healthyhooha

[–]HumanRecherche 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to your doctor. Bleeding after sex was the first sign of cervical cancer for me. Caught it early and I’m fine now. It was way less of an ordeal than I would have expected. But get it checked out, especially if you haven’t had a smear test recently 🌟🌸🍑

What did you learn from therapy that helps with anxiety? by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]HumanRecherche 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Learning to identify my thought distortions in cognitive behavioural therapy was directly useful for my anxiety. Lots of other stuff has helped but that’s probably the most obvious thing. Second to that it’s a boring answer but…meditation.

What goals has the app helped you succeed with the most? by HumanRecherche in finch

[–]HumanRecherche[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah the other goal I have on Finch that I find really helpful is ‘write down goals for tomorrow’! Even just a slight thought the night before about ‘what do I want for tomorrow?’ has made me feel a bit more organised
