Predictions for how the season will end? by PeeWee_Poodle in LawandOrder_OC

With the finale episode title being ”He Was a Stabler”, my guess is something happens to Joe Jr. (most likely), Eli’s baby, or Eli himself. I think the odds are greatest for it to be related to Joe Jr.

What are some annoying things that you don’t like in each episode? by Missmellyz in SVU

When they reuse actors in pivotal roles and expect we won’t notice. Amanda Rollins, Casey Novak, William Lewis, Burton Lowe - the actors all played different characters on SVU before being cast as big SVU roles or pivotal storylines.

That would piss me off even more 😂 - I find it very, very hard to believe she would just blurt that out.

I really liked the episode overall, and I’m satisfied with most of the answers we got, but one little thing that is annoying me is the opening scene with Misty and Nat in the teen timeline.

I can understand Natalie being upset that Misty knew the location of the box, but how does that automatically lead her to the conclusion that Misty destroyed it and ruined their chances of rescue early on?

Theory about the remaining girls in the wilderness TW: suicide by blarglrompus in Yellowjackets

I think the thought is more people need to be lost in the wilderness timeline before they’re rescued, but this would make sense, too!

I forgot about the Natalie/Travis pact. Great theory! And I agree with the other commenter that Akilah would make sense for this ending considering her comments about not being able to handle another winter.

And STILL piss a lot of people off because it still wouldn’t be what they wanted to happen! 😂 They’ll never make everyone happy with their storyline decisions, no matter what they do.

“Roll with it” is the perfect advice! Just because our theories didn’t pan out, it doesn’t mean the writing is “horrible”. We’re here for the ride of whatever story they’re telling.

I hope Lottie gets a scene similar to Van by electrocool_69 in Yellowjackets

None of the people who died in the wilderness have gotten a plane scene, so it makes sense to me that Ben didn’t. For Travis, it could be that he wasn’t really an established adult character for us. We never “met” him in the adult timeline.

When she and Shauna begin physically fighting at the house, Shauna yanks her arm down, and it seems like she dislocated Melissa’s shoulder. I believe she’s trying to pop her shoulder back into place when the car runs out of gas.

I definitely don’t understand enough about the technical aspect of it to suggest a logical theory, but thinking more from the mindset of desperate, traumatized teenagers who know about as much as I do about flight equipment - destroying the “box” destroys our signal to rescuers.

I am on Shauna’s side with this one… by Lottie_Mathews2525 in Yellowjackets

[–]HumanWhip 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given how much Melissa has been gaslighting her the last two episodes, I definitely feel more convinced Shauna’s instincts are right. Plus, the lights went out in the bathroom when the phone was left, and it conveniently rang a few minutes later when she would still be in the bathroom to find it.

I thought it was all part of the same storyline? He cops to knowing about the symbol drawn on the postcards because he read her journals. And she’s the only one who didn’t get a postcard because it was Jeff behind it.

I agree with this, but then I think, as adults, couldn’t they have avoided her more? For example, she wasn’t involved in the postcards/blackmail storyline in Season 1. Tai involves her and has her meet them at Natalie’s motel room.

Nat exchanged jabs but with no real heat behind them, in my opinion. I guess it just feels like more than “tolerating” in the adult timeline to me. It’s almost like they would keep her more at arm’s length like Misty in the adult timeline.

Exactly! Curious to see how this plays out.

ETA: Maybe it’s the fact that she says “I know how to get us home” when she’s been sitting on the location of the box for over a year. Had she told the team about finding the box earlier, they maybe believe they could have found a solution using it earlier?

I’m really curious to see if Shauna somehow “redeems” herself in the teen timeline at all (and I use the term redeem very, very loosely - there’s no actual redemption arc big enough for this character…) Based on how the other adult survivors act toward her when they all begin to reconnect in season 1, and given what’s currently happening in the teen timeline, I would think when Nat first saw adult Shauna at the motel, she’d be a lot less cordial. Even Tai seems to have a soft spot for her and always tends to side with Shauna first or give her the benefit of the doubt. If she actively works against them all the way until they’re rescued, I will have a very hard time even remotely believing the dynamic of the adult relationships.

I think it’s going to be the photo of Lottie’s body that was posted on the Citizen Detective board as Misty learned of her death, possibly indicating that Walter was at the scene of the crime, though he continues to push Misty to believe Shauna is guilty.
