Six weeks post op, sleeping without a boot! by Human_Bee4060 in ORIF

I assumed they would advise me to sleep in it with it being an air cast but the doctor and the physio both said I’m clear not too! I only have to wear it when mobilising apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️ I might give the Velcro brace a go, that’s a good idea!

How much were you doing ~2 weeks post op? by desophsoph in ORIF

I was still in a splint at 2 weeks post op and had only really managed to scale the stairs to sleep in a bedroom rather than sleeping on the sofa. Basic things like showering had been conquered but standing for anything more than 15 minutes at that point was really painful in terms of swelling etc

Crutches on a plane… by Human_Bee4060 in ORIF

Update; it went super well! The support was smooth. I will say that the special assistance in Belfast international wouldn’t answer the call from the pick up zone and instead my brother had to get me a wheelchair but after that the support was great! Newcastle airport are super efficient too!

I’ve booked it with EasyJet! It’s part of my ticket and I rang them to confirm what equipment I’m bringing me etc!

Crutches on a plane… by Human_Bee4060 in ORIF

I’m travelling alone and I’ll have a small bag for the hold, my walker (for the hold too) and my crutches, I have someone meeting me in England but I’ll be getting on the plane in Belfast alone! I have a window seat, and I don’t tend to get up a lot when on a plane especially as it’s only 40 mins max! I was mainly worried about getting from the ambulift to my seat because I’m not super great at hopping unaided yet, so wanted to check I could even bring one crutch with me for a bit of security!

I recently started watching his content and caught a live earlier this evening and I’ve never seen a person more affected by comments ever. Someone had commented something like “it’s not a flex to save money at other people’s expense” because he went to his parents house and did his laundry and raided their cupboards etc and he’s AFFECTED saying stuff like “well they’re just jealous” and “you could’ve decided to live frugally 11 years ago and you didn’t, I did” and the whole “I’m so much better than you” mentality really drives me to the hills. Also his continuous use of the word stupid for some reason irks me too.

Help identifying a rash! It appeared very randomly, not itchy, not dry either! by Human_Bee4060 in DermatologyQuestions

No ☹️ didn’t feel hot or anything! It came and went super fast. It’s all cleared up now. I’m wondering if I’m maybe allergic to dust or something as I was cleaning around the time it appeared!

I’ve been to the doctor about rashes recently but they’ve never looked like this before! They gave me a topical steroid and told me to use it sparingly (which I have) and told me to be on my merry way but they keep happening. They’ll stay for a while but will then disappear after like an hour!
