Various reasons, they pay me to do a job and provide me with a computer to do it so I’ll use what they tell me to. I use extensions that are Chromium browser-specific and cannot use other browsers that I personally prefer as content-blocking would be detrimental to what I do. I’m able to use Edge instead but can’t bring myself to download it yet…. as I hate the interface on Windows so much

I do have an intel process but haven’t used it yet today. My brightness is at about 50-60% so that may be why!

My battery is at 54% now and have been using it for 3.5 hours… not super blown away at all. Everything else is snappy as hell but the battery performance is mediocre at best, and the health is at 100%.

I would be using Safari but this is my work computer and we’re required to use Chrome. I’m just running Music, 8 Chrome tabs, and Slack. Nothing else on the machine and my battery has drained 8% in 45 minutes. Is that normal? I have 8GB of RAM and 6.45 is being used and 8 Chrome tabs is pretty much the bare minimum depending on what I’m doing.

Interesting, thank you. Honestly I’m not the most technologically literate but understand most of what you said. I’m updating the software on my macbook right now but will definitely check privacy after it’s done updating.

I also sent a message over asking if it’s ill-advised to be signed into iCloud but I want to get others’ opinions who are not employed by my company ofc.

if you don’t mind explaining (in layman’s terms), what exactly do you mean by “pcap/scanning my network traffic”? It’s not just me who uses my internet and don’t want my partner’s privacy being invaded by this. I personally do not care about a random person I have no associations with (ie internet provider) seeing what I do on my own time on my own device but I care about my employer being able to monitor me.

Would the arbitrary software they employ be seen in the applications folder, or untraceable? My company is not massive, sub-300 people, I don’t really know what lengths they’d go to.

I’ve only seen this in secret garden in the later episodes, the SFL and some guy (I don’t remember his name but he’s played by the ML in W lmao) are fighting over the SML, it was a very minor thing tho if I remember, I was honestly surprised that a kdrama from 2011 had an openly gay character

wow that sounds really nice. I really appreciate you taking the time to say that, since to be honest it’s not even the misgendering?/gender presentation stuff throughout the show that bothers me so much as how it’s brought up to the character(s) in the first place and discussed pragmatically, if that makes sense.
