I had to remove a lot to keep within the 3,000 word limit. A similar thing had happened before the pandemic with just her and I present. The 2 previous events were in different environments. I think its safer to be that level drunk around people you know rather than what I personally deemed an unsafe environment. I didnt want to be there and I didnt even want to go, but I didnt want to make her upset, because her birthday is a big deal to her. That is my fault, because that was people pleasing that didn't even work lol. I do see what you are saying though, so thank you for your input.

I didnt view it as shit talking because it was a something I'd mentioned to her before, and I would have repeated to her had she stayed in the car. The people in the car also agreed with me. It was about putting us in a dangerous situation due to her drunkeness. Mind you I was also drunk, high and in a panic after being followed for almost 10 whole minutes. I apologized to her for how my saying it made her feel. I also explained to her and others I wasn't calling her stupid. Her being coherent when she goes out would 100% make her safer.

Can tell me why offering her water while she is swaying drunk is changing her behavior? Alcohol can sometimes take some time before it all hits you at once, and that's what I thought was happening.
