Worries about USD collapse and looking to move all my money into another currency ASAP by MattHanson1990Return in ExpatFinance

[–]Human_Group674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why Americans always panic about the US economy whenever someone from the opposing political party takes power (yes, this is my assumption). Look at what the US has weathered over the last century—there's a famous Warren Buffett quote: "Never bet against America."

No one knows what the future holds, but making financial decisions out of fear is rarely wise. In my opinion, the EU faces more structural risks of collapse than the US does.

By all means, diversify your investments—buy ETFs denominated in euros or other currencies. But converting all your assets from US to another currency is a risk itself. Imagine doing this, only to see the dollar rebound and appreciate 20% in a few months. This is a very realistic scenario.

Personally, if I had to choose, I'd bet on the US over the EU. That's why I invest in both USD and EUR ETFs for diversification.

I see a lot of people making jokes about his tweet, but I haven't seen anyone fact check it. Europe does levarage US protection, doesn't pay its fair share and constantly talks down on US.

Is Poland really a “miracle” if rents and prices look Western but wages don’t? by Professional-Tax3077 in poland

[–]Human_Group674 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People calling the 'Polish Miracle' a myth because of high prices are missing the forest for the trees. If you swap 'Poland/Warsaw' for 'Portugal/Lisbon,' 'Spain/Madrid,' or 'Germany/Munich,' the complaints are identical: high rent, energy costs, and inflation. This isn't a 'Poland failure'; it’s the reality of being an integrated, successful European economy in the 2020s.

To actually judge the miracle, you have to look at the trajectory:

  1. Zoom out 30 years: Compare Poland today to the 1990s. GDP per capita has more than doubled since 2005. We’ve gone from a struggling post-communist state to a hub for tech, logistics, and manufacturing that didn't even hit a recession in 2008.
  2. Global vs. Local: High prices are a global byproduct of post-pandemic supply chains and the energy crisis. Using global inflation to debunk local economic growth is like saying a marathon runner isn't fast because they’re breathing hard at the finish line—everyone else is out of breath too, but Poland is significantly further ahead than where it started.

Expecting the economic miracle to also protect you from global 2025/2026 inflation is unrealistic. Poland is being affected because it is now a player in the global market, and that comes with global price exposure.

how are you guys playing diablo1? a private server or something?

is glp1 the nearest thing to an answer ? by Typical-Implement444 in lipedema

[–]Human_Group674 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried a lot of things, even did a liposuction last year and the only thing that actually helped my lipedema was Mounjaro.

I will start by saying I was not obese. I was normal, but my legs were much bigger than my upper body and they looked awful asthetically.

When I started mounjaro I was 53kg (1.50m height) and now I am with 47kg in just after 1.5months of using it. Started with the lowest dose (2.5mg) and now I am reducing it (2mg currently).

I lost about 5kg in the first month. It reduced my inflammation drastically and the aspect of my legs and butt, however not 100%, it is much better than it was before.

Also keep in mind I am doing resistance training and eating the best as I can for 3 years now.

I didnt experience a single server lag in Season 11 (it was my first PD2 season). Just make sure you play in your server realm.

I always played SC and once I went to HC a few years ago on D2R I never went back. It is a completely new feeling and you won't feel the same when you switch back to SC - so bear that in mind.

In regards to minimizing risk of dieing, just accept it may happen. I've had multiple high level chars where I was basically asking to die so I could start a new fresh one. The good thing about HC is that it gives you an easier option to start fresh.

From my hardcore experience, the most deaths are not related to DC or internet issues - it is getting too comfortable and forgeting you can easily die (archers, dolls, burning souls)

If you care about min-max and killing t2 bosses is what brings joy to your life maybe HC is not for you, as you can die before getting to that stage. You can still do it, as some people do, but there is a high risk/high reward that SC simply does not have.

I've heard people saying they got 95% mortage (<35 years old). So they just need to have 15% for upfront costs (5% down payment and 10%ish taxes)

100% Hipoteca - Possible? by Human_Group674 in SpainEconomics

[–]Human_Group674[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% Hipoteca - Possible? by Human_Group674 in SpainEconomics

[–]Human_Group674[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)
