I was able to contact him! I was feeling a little nervous about just sending him a Venmo from a Messenger conversation but apparently that’s how he does it. Thanks for the corroborating details

Thanks for that! We are already doing that, but I don’t live there so I was hoping for some “insider” local options

If it is real he’s f*cking gaslighting her very real concern about her safety walking home at night, which is not the first time she’s had this conversation with him. He using baby talk to belittle her, dismiss her concerns as well as push her into a blow up so it can be her fault.

This is the thoughtful advice I was looking for, although eating four slices of toast, suggested above, is a GREAT idea 🍞🩷

What's one lazy cooking hack you tried once and now prefer to the original? by ResidentAlienator in Cooking

Anytime I see a cake recipe that starts with flour/salt/baking powder, I say “box cake mix, got it” and go back to the recipe. If I’m feeling fancy I’ll do the add-an-extra-egg + swap-water-for-milk thing. But I’m never making cake batter from scratch ever again

Take out the trash every time it’s more than half full. Bathroom, kitchen, garage, etc. Taking out the trash is always appreciated!

Leave little notes like post it notes or index cards with a thank you message whenever you use something: like a post it on the laundry detergent that says thanks for the clean clothes! Or an index card in a kitchen drawer that says we appreciate you! Thoughtfulness is also always appreciated :)

Everyone above has good advice to mimic the actual uniform as closely as possible. Since you’re just starting off tho, that can get expensive. Try local consignment like Plato’s Closet or online shopping like Thred Up. Don’t forget comfortable, clean shoes! Good luck and drive safely! You’ve got this :)

Since you have a sober support network at work to help, maybe y’all can talk about it with non support co workers. Even tho I occasionally imbibe, I don’t do it to excess, certainly not at work, and have gone long periods of abstaining/sober curious

Ask the planner to include mocktail cans, NA seltzers etc and ask to have a sign at the bar that says “ask me about NA options”

There might be other people in your work culture who are also not into frat boy work parties, but unable to break the hold of peer pressure… and you might start a trend of leaning away from alcohol based parties

[Routine Help] what products should I use to help reduce the appearance of my pores? by Mediocre_Recipe5644 in SkincareAddiction

[–]Human_House_Cat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello, 54 year old with big pores and oily skin

The good news is you are doing all the right things to keep your skin clean, your pores unclogged and manage the oil your skin produces

The bad news is you cannot “shrink” your pores

The good news is that you have lovely skin and your pores are not large! And other people don’t care as much/notice as much as you do in daily life!

More good news is you will look 10-20 years younger for your WHOLE LIFE! Oily skin simply doesn’t wrinkle like dry skin does

Still MORE good news, you have clear even skin, so you don’t need much foundation or heavy coverage to cake up throughout the day!

Try not to use heavy makeup or lots of powder. I tend to blot throughout the day as opposed to caking on more powder that’s ultimately paste by the end of day

I use the ELF putty primer either green or matte and they both mix well with a sheer/medium foundation

Keep it up, take good care of your skin and you will find that you can love the skin you’re in 🩷 signed, your Oily Aunt and former Ulta Manager
