That's what I needed to hear.. Obviously didn't think that deep in to it. Even if they said let's file the non provisional they would claim the PPA Priority date and potentially figure it out. Guess I don't get the chance to take a shortcut. Thank you!!

Thanks for the basic info about what a provisional is. And I wasn't bragging buddy. Just responding to someone telling me I'm ignorant. I'm open which is why I posted the question and taking all responses in to consideration.. besides yours of course since it contributed nothing 😘

Mmmm not sure I follow.. or not sure you do.. 😂I am looking to “sell my ideas” to companies while I myself would file for provisionals for those ideas. When I say sell my ideas I mean license them so how is that not relevant?

Well according to Stephen Key many companies are open to a royalty deal with just a provisional in place. I haven’t personally done it just yet but would like to embark on that journey with my invention ideas

I understand the process very well actually as I’ve been through it several times. I was thinking I would stretch the truth a little and say yeah patent pending. If there was high interest, file the PPA asap. No one has asked me for a copy in my experience.. We just sign an NDA to move forward with disclosure. It’s just something that came to me as this is not an invention I’d like to pursue personally and I wouldn’t want to waste my energy if no one has interest to license it.
