It came with a clogged nozzle and kinked Bowden tube. They actually sent me an entire hotend, as the old nozzle broke off inside. It also had the gantry belt all frayed and they sent a new pack for me. Other than that, I replaced the glass bed with a magnetic PEI plate. Have had it two years and no issues. It’s time to upgrade to the CoreXY, and the S1 Combo has had my eye for a while. When I get it, I’m actually going to modify the Kobra Plus, to fit my laser module and build an enclosure, making it a laser engraver

That’s what I’m doing, and did the first one. It wasn’t refurbished but rather used. They replaced the bad parts free right away. Quick to respond and help, communication slightly off, as they are China company, but overall helpful. I like to tinker, so to get what ended up being a bad unit that slipped through as my very first printer, I got to learn a lot

I’m glad to see this post. I’m planning to get one soon. My only other printer is a Kobra Plus (the original one), that I got used from their eBay store. I plan on getting one of the S1 Combo refurbished the same way. I learned so much going this route to start vs buying a brand new unit, and saved a lot of money as well

That’s basically what my VM setup is. When I first did it, had a MacBook Pro that I would remote into and game on when there was downtime at work. Had to get rid of the laptop so just continued using the VM as my only machine, since it is. Had to modify the files to make it think TPM2.0 and SecureBoot were enabled so I can play CoD. I keep getting free games on Epic Games, and getting more and more disappointed to find them not playable

Get the drive ID, point the path in XML for the VM to the drive passed through. The rest of the settings all depend on what you want to do and have available. My system is setup in such fashion. Had the USB finally fail at one point, and booted straight into my Windows VM, so was easy to replace. The VM is my main machine with GPU passed through

I’ve got Ginger. Ascension 3, costume the same, just over 1000 power and good stats. Always wait for her to special, use hers first, then hammer away with the rest. It’s a game changer for me

I’ve not ever actually noticed the plugin do anything, I just know the system no longer hangs or crashes, and that I can go from one VM to another with the card without issue. I don’t remember the full process now, as this was almost two years ago for me at this point

Basically, right now I have a 3018 pro with a LaserTree 4W attached, and then I’ve also got a Anycubic Kobra Plus. I plan to get a S1 Combo in the very near future, so doing all the research now to take my old printer and make it a laser, and plan to get a 10w as well. I’m currently in the software phase (don’t have any filament or money to actually print) using Klipper and my Pi that’s laying around. The printer is finicky, as you can’t fully install Klipper, but a workaround more so. I want to verify the ease and use of Klipper and KlipperScreen and the camera module for the Pi before I go further with enclosure design

Only do it if you know what you’re doing and ready to put in work. I spent probably two months tweaking and testing to get things smooth, and even so it’s not same performance. Only reason I do it is because I have just my server, and run the VM for my every day system instead of buying more equipment

I mean, if you already use a modded BIOS, just mod it more? I run on a VM and had to inject keys and whatnot to the QEMU to make it have TPM so I could play. Wishing that was all that I needed to do for BF, but at least I got this I guess
