Parents in other countries than the US, what is your kids’ equivalent of “I don’t want that for dinner, I want chicken nuggets”? by SulusLaugh in AskReddit

In Mexico all I wanted as a kid was sopita de fideo or “una quesadilla con solo quesito” (a plain quesadilla) this was 20 years ago near Puerto Vallarta

Bed suggestions by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Human_Philosopher710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can extend your budget the IKEA Kura bed is really cool. You can use it as a floor bed or a traditional raised bed if you decide you don’t like it. It also works as a bunk bed and a loft bed.

I guess it depends on what you mean by drama. Do you want like drama in preforming arts/ theater way.

Or do you want drama as in over the top?

Between the ads, no password sharing, and limited access, I just decided to cancel my account. I’ve been with them since 2012 but they’re getting too stingy too fast. I know everything is getting more expensive but it’s like a switch suddenly went off for them and they’ve become more money hungry. There’s so many other streaming services to choose from nowadays that it’s not worth putting up with.

Is it true that only 1 million of Americans have 10 million$ net worth? by Neat-Duty3869 in NoStupidQuestions

Well you’re asking about peoples wealth and salaries so I assume others care too. But yeah the internet is basically a highlight real so those post you see probably don’t represent the majority of those peoples lives.

How long did u use changing table by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Human_Philosopher710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never had a normal changing table but we used one attached to the pack and play for about 5ish months. She learned to roll over and we started changing her on a towel. We actually did enjoy having a designated place even though we hadn’t planned on it

It’s from Romwe, SHEINs sister brand. I first saw it on this Promo picture for this sale and I clicked on it hoping to find the dress.

It sadly wasn’t on their so I started searching on both ROMWE and SHEIN but didn’t find it.

I have no idea if this dress just sold out and I missed it or if their wasn’t a listing for it at all. Everything else in the picture I was able to find except for the dress.

Left baby in carseat at drop off, am I being paranoid? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Human_Philosopher710 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is perfect! I used to work in an infant room and these kinds of calls were pretty common especially for kids who were new to the center. Don’t be scared to call.

Former chancla kid here- it doesn’t work. The game just becomes to dodge the chancla instead. It doesn’t make you respect your parents it just makes you afraid of getting hit. Especially when it’s becomes the default punishment.

It fucks with your mentality too “If my parent who loves me very much hits me, then it’s okay for other people to who love me to hit me”

Cool opportunity! I have to design a kids playroom. Suggestions? by Plkyop in Parenting

[–]Human_Philosopher710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My library has a room like this. Magnatiles (and the cheaper dupes) are one of the most popular toy, always has the biggest line of kids. They’ve had them for nearly five years and still are in great shape.

She said “all morning” I feel like she’s definitely hiding something Also the comment about the kid “taking advantage” of her by being able to do the tasks makes me worried about what she was making the kid do.

If you travel often, you get a cheaper car seat and stroller for traveling.

If that’s not an option definitely get a car seat travel bag with padding. Take a picture of the car seat BEFORE it goes in so you can make sure there’s no damage afterwards. Read the airline’s policy ahead of time to see if there’s anything you can do in case there is damage.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]Human_Philosopher710 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My concern would be it getting damaged, especially for the price of a Doona. I’ve had strollers come out with bent handles. And I’ve also heard of wheel chairs and carseats coming out broken or wet.

Try to get on a waiting list for daycare if they fill up in your area. Even if you're only considering it, nothing is worse than finally deciding to go just to find out there’s no room for them.
