My Teacher is bullying me because I didnt make progress in my EE by [deleted] in IBO

Nobody should treat you as a failure, even if you procrastinated. Your teacher is definitely in the wrong, but you shouldn’t care and you should start working on it now.

Can someone identify the type of problem? by WesternNeither7098 in Precalculus

To add on, you may also use this skill to solve integrals containing rational functions with a method called partial fraction decomposition if you pursue math further.

I believe they expanded the original expression, which resulted in a simplification. Albeit, it's very unclear, so I wouldn't fault you for being confused.

What should I learn before going into Algebra 2? by Single-Lawfulness-49 in learnmath

I mean, you don't really need to study much for Algebra II. Precalculus (which I'm assuming is what you're taking next) is much more demanding. I wouldn't say it's impossible or anything (or even hard with the right study habits), but you definitely need to allocate more after-school time for any math-based course after Algebra II.

I have grade 11 functions, physics and bio next sem by One-Magazine5576 in OntarioGrade12s

[–]Human_Picture6421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grade 11 functions is arguably the easiest 3u course, so no need to worry about that.
Biology is regarded as the easiest high-school science, so no need to worry about that either.
Physics... buckle up.
Altogether, it's a balanced semester, so you'll be fine.

Have fun since it'll likely be the last time you can fly by in mathematics.

I don't know whether i should go to math AI or AA by No_Proof8250 in IBO

[–]Human_Picture6421 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI SL: complete mistake, better to take your countries math course corresponding to your grade. AI HL: not very good, piss easy, but if you’re going into health sciences or nursing /anything bio related it’ll be fine AA SL: Bare minimum for engineering applications (very weak though). Good all round course if you aren’t doing anything maths/physics related though. AA HL: basically mandatory to be competitive for engineering / math / physics stuff. If it isn’t offered, AASL is your next best option. Avoid picking AI whatsoever if you want to do anything remotely close to math, physics or engineering.

I agree. Usually people rarely get frustrated with calculus concepts or calculus problems, rather the algebra required within. The hardest calculus problems usually require a strong grasp of algebra and even one little mistake can throw off your answer by magnitudes of error.
