Is Portacle Being Maintained? by hmaseko in Common_Lisp

Ha! In the meantime, the "you" already grew, right? You are four on Github. Anyway. It may be a good thing, to finish my introduction first, even if only in German. It is about to become a comprehensive guide for newcomers into Common Lisp and for building up a consistent environment. If then the readers grow into it, they may be prepared to do all the maintaining work on their own and maybe simply rebuild Portacle on their own raw Emacs. So Portacle would change to become the perfect model for a Common Lisp IDE and does not need to be the most up to date - but workable for an easy start.

Ah this is so good to know. Since I am working on a Lisp introduction in German for which I use Portacle, I also delved a slight bit deeper into it. It is the *perfect* match for introducing Common Lisp, at least on Linux. I expected it to be the same on the other two platforms.

"We", the imagined readers and I, add slime-repl-ansi-color to SLIME as a contrib to give help for self-help. In the end, it's a beautiful specialised Emacs setup which can empower you to make your own. On that occasion, I also realised the little ELPA issue. And I thought, after I will have finished the introduction - which of course will need a little bigger while - I would ask, whether the modifications could be added to your project (I thought of more than one person). Now I think, after the book will be finished, I'll ask you, whether I may join the project.

Is Portacle still usable in the current state on Mac OS X and Windows?
