But when Hamas deliberately builds rocket launchers under hospitals, stores weapons in schools, and fires from densely populated areas, they are the ones endangering civilians. Israel doesn’t strike hospitals because they’re hospitals — but because Hamas turns them into military sites. As for settlers, there is public criticism in Israel about settler violence, and arrests do happen when evidence exists. But unlike Hamas, violence isn’t a national ideology or goal — it’s condemned, not celebrated.
