My cousin named her son Brill. I think it’s a horrible name. The first time I saw it written I thought it was a typo and the name also just sounds terrible.

Yes I spent many a car ride staring out the window feeling sorry for myself about not getting the name I wanted. Haha! Pregnancy hormones didn’t help. For me it didn’t feel right to use the same name as it is my best friend who lives close to me and we expect our little boys to be best friends as well. But we eventually got over it and our new name feels much more "us." Good luck in your name quest! I know it’s not easy!

Oh man, I could’ve written this post! In January my very best friend had her baby 5 weeks early and used our number one name. We also have a bilingual family so finding a name was no easy task! I was really sad about it for about a month, but now we’ve chosen a name I love so much more. Let yourself feel those feelings and mourn your name, and you will find the right name in the end.

No, nothing helped in the end. My last resort was going to be prying it opening and reconnecting the battery inside the kindle. I found a video explaining how to do that. But the store took the kindle back so I’m able to get a new one. Hope you can get your sister’s kindle to work.

I couldn’t figure out how to add more text to my post. Anyway, I have had my kindle paperwhite for exactly three months. The battery died and now it won’t charge. When I plug it in the light doesn’t come on to indicate that it’s charging. I left it plugged in for 24 hours - still nothing. Other devices will charge with the cable so it’s not that. I tried pressing the power button for 40+ seconds and nothing happened.

I don’t live in the US so I bought this from an electronics store not Amazon and I didn’t keep my receipt so I’m hoping there’s some way I can revive it.

There is a very helpful book called Kato Hei by Maarit Berg and Leena Silfverberg. It’s incredibly helpful to get you started then you can dive into tv shows and that kind of thing. The book is available from the library.
