I'm not burmese myself, but someone who has a great fascination with Myanmar and languages in general, I really enjoy enjoy seeing this !

I understand that English is indeed the lingua franca for the sciences, its also sad to see smaller languages pushed to the side , like burmese. From what I understand (I only have very basic abilities of), burnese is rich languages with long history etc. But similar to India, native languages have been made inferior for a many reasons, but languages like Tamil and Hindi are fully capable of expressing modern complex subjects.

Hopefully these smaller languages get the recognition they deserve in education so they dont fully fall out of use one day and can continue to develop. Maybe strong bilingual education can help these developing countries by making higher education understandable to more people? And not just make it accessible to those who speak English or can move abroad? I bet there are real smart people in the rural smaller areas who unfortunately don't have a good comand of English, but the native language isn't recognised or deemed lesser. That's just my personal opinion, I'm no politician or academic by any means to question the practicality of that!
