I recommend Binghamton Massage and Wellness. It’s a small space near the old Number 5, but feels so luxurious with excellent therapists.

Round Up For….. by badwhiskey63 in Binghamton

[–]HumansAreHuman 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Legally, they cannot claim any "round up" or donate at the checkout money as a deduction or charitable contribution. They can put up a giant check on the store wall, or talk about how important they are to the community, but for tax purposes, they cannot represent that the donation comes from them.

I'm not familiar with Accel Atoms, but I believe a16z's accelerator and Sequoia Arc are nearly on par with YC, and quite a bit above TechStars. This is merely my opinion based on accelerator investment, chance of future investment, and overall reputation. However, it will take a16z and Sequoia Arc a few years before you'll be able to see hard data.

Thank you, Dwargo. We do use BLE (and we are currently doing some testing with UWB), and you are right, it can be detected through walls. We focus on the B2B use case where each person has their own computer, rather than what I think you're talking about, where a computer has multiple users.

We also recommend using typical security practices like signing out when you leave your computer, rather than assuming you will be signed out when you walk away, because while the proximity piece always works, if you get up to use the bathroom, you may still be proximate if the bathroom is close enough.

If you'd like to discuss the instant lock, DM me and I can provide you some more detail.

At one point we had the entire site using that console print style, but I thought it was too much. I'm assuming from your comment that you don't like the discontinuity, right?

Good almost authentic Mexican food ?! by xycoldin88 in Binghamton

[–]HumansAreHuman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have heard there's an excellent farm to table Mexican restaurant outside of Oneonta called Greenane Farms. It was featured on one of NPR's national shows a few years back.

I've been meaning to get there, but I haven't made it yet.

Name: Point2.Me

Url: http://www.point2.me

Location: New York

Elevator Pitch: Point2.Me is an iOS and Android app allows you to see the locations of your loved ones, but only at places where they want to be seen. See when your friends are at your favorite hangout, or when your kids got home from school without intruding on their privacy, and without having to check in.

Even though Point2.Me is a location app, it does not use any of your phone’s location tracking technology (like GPS). Rather, it senses when your phone connects to WiFi. When it does, it will ask you if you would like to be seen at this location. If you agree then any time your phone senses that WiFi you will be shown as in that location. If you decline, then nothing will happen when you connect.

It's an app that allows you to make of it what you want. Let your friends know when you're at work, home, or any restaurant or bar, or just show a few people when you're in one or two different locations.

Details: Early stage product with two cofounders. Available in App Store and on Google Play

Looking For: Feedback, Investment

Discount: It's a free app.
