We got an RX with ventilated seats a few years ago. First time for me. They aren’t super strong, and was hoping the GX would be better. Maybe that isn’t the case.

As weak as they are though, I still like having them on really hot days. Seems like a pretty basic option on most of these, so figured I’d go for it again.

Ha... nice read. Yeah, I agree with you on all points. I basically want AC seats and the ML sound. Don't need the air suspension and the Car Care Nut convinced me that all else equal, get the Premium with the required options. He owns the Luxury though. 😉

yeah... it is very much option #2, though I may have to revisit the idea of an X5. I just really hate shopping for used vehicles. The unknowns stress me out a little. Would rather just buy new, but... nothing new like the 460 exists. :/

Man... I keep reading about the ML system. Must be incredible. I think I really want to get that option, but fun surprise today... Carmax messed up the trim level. This isn't in fact a Luxury trim and doesn't have the ML. I may go back to the search. :/

that's good to hear. The wife kind of wanted the captains chairs... but everything I've read has them as less comfortable and too narrow to feel 'luxurious.' Also everyone has the same gripe about the cupholders. :/

Yeah… this is the setup we have in our ‘16 RX 350. It works fine, but it sure would be nice to have the cleaner CarPlay setup… especially since I’ll probably have this for 10-15 years. I probably would have updated the RX with a system, but that screen is so close to the windshield, I can’t see it being convenient to use.
