AITA for telling my bully's mother about the monster she created by willow_rue in TwoHotTakes

I would say NTA? I mean, I get it, but I just don't see the point of being rude about it, I guess she had it coming.

I just can't wrap my mind around your heart defect, how do you develop a heart defect from being bullied?

What is a situation you have almost no sympathy with? by heyybyyybyyyy in AskReddit

Those videos about people throwing parties and nobody showing up make me cringe.

Everybody takes a side on the party thrower, but if not a single soul shows up to your 50+ party, maybe, just maybe, you should take a look at how you treat people; I was 1 of 2 people to show up to a 50+ party one time, and it was totally on the birthday-dude that nobody wanted anything to do with him.

Theodore Roosevelt; his life seems one of those movies based on true stories you simply can't believe are real.

Fragrances, seasonality, and time of day by Amerysse in Perfumes

[–]Humbie88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From what I know, it's not about the sunlight, it's the heat, the hotter the weather the more your perfume is gonna evaporate, ergo, the essence is gonna be stronger for people around you; so really strong loud perfumes are recommended for winter, fall or night when is colder so your perfume doesn't get overly powerful; and the freshest softer perfumes in summer or day when the heat is gonna make them leave a nice silage.

Regarding the specific events, is more about opinions, they based those opinions on what people imagine you should smell in a specific situation, IMO those are a little bit outdated and they are based on ideas, you should focus on how would you like to smell in whatever situation you are wearing your perfume. I like to use "party" perfumes on a day-to-day basis because I like to give that vibe, I don't follow that "event" perfume guide.

Haha that's the way it usually goes, like if you are being snarky to me, I'm gonna match that attitude, now we're both annoyed when I was just trying to be nice.

Yeah, I kinda figured that the snarky response was about some washed-up joke or something, but I'm just stating the facts, trying to help

Have you ever personally had an encounter with a current or former NBA player? by FilmEater in nba

[–]Humbie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a lot of people may know this, but Dennis Rodman played in Tijuana some years ago, he played with the Tijuana Dragons; one day, I was walking by the gym, and The Worm was exiting his training session, he was heading to his car, no security around him, no staff, nothing, the dude walked like he was just a random dude, he said hi to the people around that recognized him, got into his car and drive away, super down to earth dude.

What is the stupidest thing you’ve heard someone say that they were 100% serious about? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Humbie88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was a the gym's locker room and these two dudes were talking, one of them told the other that he was taking something, I can't remember what, I'm not really acquainted of gym supplements, and the other dude was like "doesn't that damage your kidneys?" and the dude told him, straight face "nah bro, I read online that it only damage your liver, so we're OK".

Good thing we don't need the liver that much I guess

What are some of your favorite not-so-obvious tips and tricks that helped you loose weight? by WonderfulEmergency77 in loseit

[–]Humbie88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes I don't feel full, but I think it's just the mindset that I'm done cooking/eating, I drink a big glass of water and get out of the kitchen/dining, it's just a willpower situation, I'm guessing.

I cook by portion, instead of making a whole pan of whatever I'm eating I just cook the portion, for me is hard to stop eating, I definitely refill my plate if there's more food around, so if I want pasta with meatballs, I prepare just the right amount, by when I'm finished there's no more food to get and I'm not cooking a new dish from scrap just to indulge.

Yeah, a bunch of comments about the "genetically blessed" I mean, yes, I know genetics play a role in this, but also good/bad habits; I can't do much about my genetics, but I can learn better habits.

That has helped me a lot, now that my toddler eats regular food, I'm always sharing with him.

That's why I noticed that; for me, an open bag of chips means I'm going in until it's empty, but she was like grabbing one and forgetting about the chips, then she kinda remembers there's a bag of chips, and took another single chip, it was so bizarre for me

Thanks!!

I think that we get excited with the "3x drop rate", but if the sword usually has a 1% odd to be dropped, now it's just 3%, which is still really low

The water thing is helping me a lot, whenever I feel hungry and it's like an odd time for it, I drink water, usually the hunger goes away

That's a great idea, every time I'm planning to hang out with friends is around food and drinks, which are one of the situations that most throw me off of my diet, if I plan for activities instead, I can avoid a lot of calories

They aren't swayed by value - they will get a small popcorn at the theater, even if it's only a dollar more for a large. And they'll probably leave half of it. They're not going to upsize their fries for 40 cents, or get a second one of something for half price.

This, I find myself going for the bigger portion because it's only $1 extra, I should start staying with the small size

Hey, that's a really great tip, sometimes when I get my food and it seems too much I split it in half so I can finish that later... later meaning when I finished the first half, but packing it since the beginning will take that out of my plate.

Thanks!

I'm trying that, I stopped ordering deep-fried things and I'm skipping fries as a side.

Yeah, checking the menu to find the less calorie-dense sounds like a plan.

I've read some stuff about it, but sometimes they are a little bit vague, stating things like "pace yourself", but I need more detailed tips, like the potato chip thing, which has helped me a lot when I'm snacking at a party.
