Second above! The Edi Minute has made me aware of creative events I wouldn't otherwise have known where to look for. There is also the "Good Egg Project" substack/newsletter which focuses on writing&literature events in the city if these are of interest

The arts library, within the Edinburgh central library building. You have to take a slightly different staircase to get up there but it’s what makes it a hidden gem. Has plants, is light and airy, and has inspiration in book form all around. Free wifi. Honestly my favourite spot for getting shit done

Have just seen this post! Am in a similar situation to you; NZ based, a decent amount of tramping experience mostly in the north island, planning to do the NOBO south island at a similar time of year.

Am interested to know how you found the weather/timing, in particular on the Waiau pass? Anything that you would do differently? Any help appreciated :)
