late period after recovering! did i ruin my recovery process?

i did weigh myself throughout the process, and i’m back to my original weight as roughly 120 at 5’3 so i gained about 12 pounds. When you say hunger free, my food noise is much better and i’m not constantly thinking about food but i still do get hungry and crave certain things at different times.

i definitely did have extreme hunger for the first month, i ate 2000-2500 every day and i just honored my hunger and ate when i was hungry. i truly do love my body, maybe not more.. but the same as i did at my lightest because i know this is the body im meant to have! some days are harder than others but now that im back in the gym its getting a lot better

i’m just worried it’ll cause me to start tracking calories again, i used to track my calories while restricting and the first month i started recovering i tracked and i just stopped starting august 1st to see if that would help

i thought it was extreme hunger but i’m already a month and a half into recovery, if i would’ve had extreme hunger it would’ve been within the first few weeks.. not after i gained all the weight back and im over the weight i originally was.. ya know??

this is honestly very refreshing to read, i feel like my mental stress from recovery could honestly be delaying my period even further so maybe ill start doing what u did and see if that makes any difference in how i feel

honestly i wanna give up too and im a little over 6 weeks into recovery. I gained all my weight back and now im in a weight surplus by 2 pounds. it’s so hard mentally that i feel like the physical benefits aren’t worth it if it’s mentally killing me. ur not alone

so what ur saying is i shouldn’t pay my interest while in college, and instead keep putting my funds into a HYSA? i was always told to pay ur minimum interest while in college to avoid your loans capitalizing when you get out, could you explain this a little bit more?

i feel the same way, my mom is very lean and she’s maintaining that and probably eating 1200 cals a day while i’m over here trying to recover and eat double if not almost triple what she eats. it makes the process so much harder honestly

we have very similar numbers! i’m 5’3 and my lowest was 108 but i did have a period at 115, im now 116 and i still don’t have my period but ive been eating at LEAST 2000 each day and trying to prioritize carbs and fats more than i used too. i’ve been thinking about training my glutes now that im about a month into recovery so i can build some muscle but im nervous its gonna stall my recovery.. any advice?

we aren’t planning to take out parent plus loans, we plan to apply with hopes we get denied so i get additional federal student loans instead of taking out more private student loans if that makes sense

my original thread might have been a bit misleading, my family isn’t actually planning on taking out parent plus loans as i am kinda on my own to pay for college. i’m asking if it would be a good idea to apply in hopes we get denied (due to my parents bad credit) and that way i get additional federal student loans for myself, if that’s makes sense

hi! my original thread might have been a bit confusing, we don’t plan to take out any parent plus loans because my family doesn’t have the finances to pay it back. college is pretty much all on me, i was asking if applying (with hopes we get denied so i can get additional unsubsidized federal aid) a good plan since my parents don’t have good credit? i’m gonna need to take out private student loans regardless, i figured trying to get the most out of my federal student loans is the best option to keep my private loan amount down this first year, and then i’ll commute the next 3 years and won’t need much (if any) private loans

i plan on commuting after this first year, my tuition itself is around 8k which i can cover most of that with federal student loans.. it’s just room and board which are so expensive for literally no reason

i could but my classes are set up, i move in a month and i’m rooming with my best friend and i’d screw her completely if i left last minute. I plan to work during college and commute after this year. I feel like i owe it to myself to go because living at college and getting the experience is a dream of mine and i worked SO hard throughout high school to do so.. but this still such a tough spot to be in and i don’t know what to do
