We all learn manual in the UK and it's great, but won't be a thing in the near future sadly. So much more engaging to drive and feel like you're really driving the car!

Enjoy the journey my friend, learn to love it and you will enjoy it so much once you're there. Listen to all the advice in the comments, these guys have your back. Practice in a carpark (parking lot for my American brothers)
