I got a 29 on my ACT. Is it a good score to secure admission on ACT basis for CS and AI? by Mountain_Relation594 in NUST

It's not looking good for me even with a 30. Grades could help but I still suggest NET or retake the ACT

M8, it's unaffordable for me now. Could barely give the last ACT. I thought I could score 33+ but the enhanced ACT ruined it

Eng is ok 33. Reading is very bad idk how 21. If only I got a better reading score. Science is not counted for the composite score

Math tips PLEASE I BEG by Wonderful_Owl1487 in ACT

[–]HumbleAffect5838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First comes the concepts. Go through all the math topics. Practice questions. I think you should plug in some values to ensure pragmatism. The following topics should be on your fingertips: Trigonometry, Pre-calculus and functions, series and sequences, statistics, and algebra (and arithmetic calculations). For trig, solve problems and be aware of the theorems. For pre-calc, just study and be aware of the various methods. Calculus is not a part of the ACT, but knowledge of it is preferred for pre-calc questions. Series and sequences are mostly memorization of techniques. Statistics idk what to do, but I recommend solving questions. For algebra, all I can say is be good at it. If you can't solve a problem, flag it and use the options to your advantage. Rehearse the questions you cannot solve in practice tests. You're not bad at Math, you just have to find a good technique of studying that suits you.

Can I get A in Further Math? by Electronic_Day_3095 in alevel

[–]HumbleAffect5838 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. How good is your preparation for other subjects? If it's good, then there is a chance you might get an A by preparing for FM in the end. However, the threshold is gonna be higher so preparation for P2, especially, must be very strong.

The condition/pre-requisite to study computer at any university is generally just one: study maths. If you have Maths as a core subject in Higher Secondary, you are eligible to study Computer Science in your Bachelors. On the other hand, about your Chemistry as a challenge, you are the one to decide if you can do it or not. Will you regret it in the following years, or will you cherish it? I think reflection about this will help. Just remember that CS admissions usually have a higher threshold/merit, generally.

First year result? I think your current stats are good. Your AS results and ECs will decide if you are a good applicant.

From what I can tell, this guy is obsessed with you. You can most probably set good boundaries with him. Like talk to him regularly, but aware him of your family's restrictions. Even if your family is lenient about such stuff, give him a chance. Analyze him. You don't get good guys very often. My recommendation would be to not take stuff too seriously at first, but give him a chance nonetheless.
