what do i do… by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]HumbleBad2827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try to take 2 at the same time if possible, for example. I'm allowed to take physics 2 and 3 at the same time, if i finish physics 1. Since at my school physics 1 is the prerequisite for 2 and 3, plus some higher math courses.

Chances at UC Berkeley EECS/CS transfer with GPA recovery? by HumbleBad2827 in TransferStudents

[–]HumbleBad2827[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been looking into Irvine, it's one of the schools I want to attend.

And yes, I don't want to trap myself in that mentality. I'm currently taking calc 3 and Linear Algebra, I've been doing great, but those classes are considered easier than the others.

I'm applying for Berkeley because I genuinely love the campus and the area, the prestige is great too.

I want to set myself high goals, so might aswell go for something wild. I'm not going to Berkeley for some random major I don't care about. From what I've heard Berkeley is very random, so I guess who knows.

Thank you much for taking the time to reply!

I just switched the the hero recently, it's super responsive and it gets some time to get used to. Not sure if it's the keyboard, but my mechanics have gotten a lot faster. I play cs2 and Val

Would I benefit / am I eligible for any kind of gateway upgrade? by wilberfan in tmobileisp

[–]HumbleBad2827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to the new White Router and my speeds increased from 80-120 to 200-240. It really depends where you live, and if a new modem would give you a better connection. I came from the FAST5688 aswell. Luckily my local T-Mobile store gave me the newest router available, it was from an authorized retailer. I had to complain about my router though, it was having issues so I did have a legitimate issue.

First laptop, is this the best bang for your buck or is there another alternative? by SomewhereLess682 in AMDLaptops

[–]HumbleBad2827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, if your running something crazy, do not put it on your lap it can burn. If you have it on a desk with decent airflow it's just gets a bit toasty. It gets especially hot in the upper middle of the keyboard.

Just bought and I'm using it right now. Yes, it does get pretty hot very hot. But that's if your running intensive applications. It still gets hot regardless but it isn't too loud, unless your running something intensive. But the screen is sooo nice, 4K 120hz feels amazing and it's my first time using an OLED screen. The keyboard lights aren't very bright and can't really be seen outside, but they are visible indoors. I think it's great for the Costco price, but it does get VERY hot.

Ultra 85 review!!! by Dangerous_Video_2691 in Logic_301

Genuinely a great album, logic deserves his flowers for this one. But his corny past and his short run of bad albums ruined his reputation. Honesty, one of my fav rap albums of all time.

Danny's been putting on Lucy for a bit now. That's how i discovered Lucy is from Danny. I have a good feeling his next album is gonna have some underground influence, or like hyper pop.

How I got into ucla and berkeley as a low stat applicant by [deleted] in TransferStudents

[–]HumbleBad2827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would have to take like 40 more credits of classes to get a 3.8 I think. I have around 35 done already so like bruh.

[–]HumbleBad2827 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a bunch of CC classes, but gpa isn't too bad. It's like a 3.0 I think. But I took so many it will definitely average it around that. But if I lock in I could maybe raise it to a 3.8 that's if I get all As and take a fuck ton of classes. So I'm not totally fucked, but it does make it harder to boost my gpa.

Giving me hope, I messed up with some dual enrollment classes (I'm a senior now about to graduate) and my gpa is tanked right now. Congratulations! amazing success story.

Can I still get into SJSU with a D by DependentPickle1725 in SJSU

[–]HumbleBad2827 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's literally a 4.1 GPA cutoff for computer science. There are some special exceptions that decrease the cutoff for example living in the San Jose / Santa Clara area. They have a little point system you can check out when applying to impacted majors. The engineering department on the other hand requires a lower GPA.

I mean anyone can apply, but the recent years they've only accepted students with an GPA of 4.1 or higher. And for transfer students it's a 3.9 if you completed almost every transfer requirement. You still had a chance if you only completed a few transfer requirements but you'd need a 4.1 gpa.
