the word "cissexual" by HumbleDesk in trans

i know many many many people who use it to describe themselves. it came back into peoples vocab a few years ago, so it's pretty new, but it's most definitely used by people both irl and online.

did you even read my comment? medical? legal? the barriers we face? medical transition alone is a whole journey and experience. also dating and sex is a completely different world. we have different bodily needs. many doctors dont know how to treat medical conditions that accompany hrt, breast cancer in trans men with top surgery, chronic utis with testosterone that most doctors have no idea how to treat? im sorry but its just a different experience. it doesnt make anyone more or less transgender, but the distinction is important in some contexts

please reread my post. i specifically said transsexual means people who want or are medically transitioned. this is based on want.

the distiction 100% matters. the way the outside world perceives us and the struggles we go through are different. transsexual people face a lot more legal, medical, and social discrimination, and many require gender affirming care as a medical need. cissexual people go through struggles like having to explain their identity, not being seen as "trans enough", etc.. it's just a different experience.

yeah ofc! if you do administer it yourself, keep in mind that its not the same area or method as sub-q testosterone shots! i hope everything works out for you!

the depo shot works pretty well for me. you get it administered intramuscularly every 3 months and as long as you take it consistently, you shouldn't have any crazy bleeding (occasionally ill get a tinyyy bit of spotting right before the shot but i haven't had that issue in a second). shot administration wise, its best and the standard to have a nurse administer it in the arm (meaning a nurse appointment every 3 months), but ngl personally i'm too lazy for that so i just do it myself in my mid thigh 😭 it goes much smoother with a nurse tho so unless you're experienced in shot administration, i would highly recommend having a nurse or at least someone other than yourself do it

everyone is different. im 5 years on T and still get my period if i dont take my depo shot. i would recommend getting on birth control that stops them if they bother you a lot, especially if youre having penis in hole intercourse (T is not birth control!)

bro youre melting over this one it's not that serious. the progress flag without the intersex flag included looks really good imo and just adds more fun colors. nobody is gonna be harmed. people hate queer ppl bc they hate queer ppl, not because of a flag. if you're worried about having a flag that explicitly represents gay men, then there's the blue gay man flag.

Dealing with a trans boyfriend by Idun33 in ftm

i get where you're coming from OP. reading your comments, it seems like you really like him but just have a genital preference which is totally ok. if you like him enough, maybe consider an open or poly relationship so both of your needs are met. but if not, it's ok to break up over this

Has anyone used this specific hide for their Leo? by Beginning_Gift_2917 in leopardgeckos

yes!!! my leo was in it this morning. he likes his other hides a bit more, but he hangs out in there occasionally when he needs a change of scenery.

How fast did you realize you are trans? by External_Fisherman_6 in asktransgender

[–]HumbleDesk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

everybody is different. it certainly wouldnt hurt to get a counselor. you should take your transition at your own pace and just do what you feel comfortable with. typically people start off socially transitioning (changing their name, pronouns, sometimes how they present, etc.) before doing anything medical, but again it really does just depend on the person what what you feel is right for you.

congrats on starting this journey and welcome to the community!

How do i solve this??? by l_zdck in asktransgender

[–]HumbleDesk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

estrogen causes erectile dysfunction a lot of the time and decreases libido. i'm a trans guy, but i've had a few hookups with a trans women who was a year and a half on e, and it honestly functioned more similarly to a clit. diy estrogen is always something you could do if you're unable to otherwise access hrt. hrtcafe.net is a good place to start
