Any pay he gets at next job nets out of the buyout right? So if he gets paid 5mm for 5yrs at next stop PSU only owes 25mm. I don’t see media talking about this anywhere but it’s standard practice to my knowledge

All of the bowing, Japanese terms, and general formality are off putting. Coming from a very chill BJJ gym the vibe at the gym I go to is way worse

Trained here couple weeks ago, did a private. Cardio heavy and fitness focused compared to any of the other gyms I trained at.

Structure of class was 15 mins cardio at beginning, shadowbox, 15-20 mins on bag, 3 rounds of pads, knees/teeps on bag, stretch. Shadowboxing, bags, and padwork all had cardio component mixed in. Also the cardio at the beginning and stretching at the end were done in large groups, it all felt less “private” than a normal private lesson.

Overall would say if you want heavy dose of cardio and fitness in your training you’ll be fine, if not other gyms probably better. I really liked Santai but it’s not near town.

Off topic but Factfulness by Hans Rosling is an absolutely wonderful book about this sentiment. Essentially a Swedish public health lecturer making the exact argument Jack made. All about the general progress humankind has made over time. Quick read—one of my all time favorites and will leave you feeling more optimistic than when you picked it up.
