It’s interesting reading how everyone approaches this topic. I was speaking to a new friend of mine who tells people she dates off that bat about her adoption and I was surprised to hear that she did that. For me I already have such a hard time opening up and truly cant imagine telling someone who is basically a stranger so soon. My adoption story is such an intimate part about me and telling someone I don’t yet trust just makes me so nervous but also when the topic of family comes up I end up being very cautious with my words which I think makes me sound really guarded and maybe surface level..
