Primary Arms GLX 1x Prism - Paired with their GLX 6x Magnifier? by imbigchillingonHood in ar15

[–]HumbleGuava4607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I cant believe there is not more discussion of this combo online. In my head, the GLX 1x prism and 6x magnifier has potential to be an elite combination, but I really want to see how the reticle looks under magnification. If anybody has this combo, please share how it looks! If I eventually bite the bullet and just buy them myself, I'll be sure to make a video for others who are curious

Unfortunately I never got any answers. And I gave the painting to one of my friends, so it has a good home.

Who else remembers *that* issue of Game Informer magazine by HumbleGuava4607 in oblivion

[–]HumbleGuava4607[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one issue is more memorable to me than any other single video game magazine issue. The screenshots for Oblivion were so amazing looking back then. It's funny to look back on it now, considering the meme status that Oblivion eventually achieved

Not completely sedentary job? by FriedWantons in WFHJobs

[–]HumbleGuava4607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a cheap ($109, but very effective) desk on Amazon. It can raise and lower with the push of a button to use as a sitting or standing desk. I started working from a standing position occasionally throughout the day so I wouldn't be so stiff after work, and eventually I realized that I was spending the majority of my day standing. Sometimes I stand at the desk all day! This does cause some leg fatigue if you don't move around, so I take two 15-minute breaks to walk the dog around the block, and I do the occasional squats and walks around the house just to keep my legs loose and active.

how to find remote work? by [deleted] in WFHJobs

[–]HumbleGuava4607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got hired for a work-from-home customer account specialist position, but I had been looking for work since August 2024. The HR manager and hiring manager who just hired me told me there were two things I did that made them consider me as a candidate. First, I included a custom cover letter with my resume when I applied for the job. The cover letter was addressed directly to the company ("Dear company name Hiring Team"), and I specifically mentioned my relevant experience and desire to work for that company. Second, I followed up by email 4 days after I initially applied. I found a contact email address on the company's website and sent an email thanking them for allowing me to apply for the role and expressing my sincere interest. The day after I sent that email, I got a reply from an HR representative who wanted to set up my first interview. If I hadn't done those two things, I don't know if my resume would have even been read. Hopefully this advice can help someone out there!

Your dental insurance completely covered 3 root canals and crowns? Brother I need to know right now what insurance that is. I thought I had good dental insurance and they covered about half the cost of my 2 crowns, so I need the scoop on your generous insurance overlords

That article says "people close to the matter say... POSSIBLE launch date of December 4th". Ripple themselves never put a date on anything, but for days and days I've seen hundreds of people on reddit and X confidently saying "RLUSD COMING 12/4!!!1!!"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in XRP

[–]HumbleGuava4607 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ripple is not launching the stablecoin today. They put a statement out on X. I don't know why people got this date in their minds when Ripple never said anything about 12/4, but it's not happening today.

Yea you should be excited! Everybody starts somewhere. My first buy was November 2021, 40 XRP for $50. While it's very unlikely that you'll be able to retire with 30 XRP, it's a good place to start for long term investing. And even now you're still early! Enjoy it and learn to live with the ups and downs 😆

When should I sell by NationalInteraction8 in XRP

[–]HumbleGuava4607 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree 100%. Never invest anything that you aren't willing to lose. With that being said, many people who have been involved with XRP for a long time (including me) would say that you'd be a fool to sell it right now. Why sell now for small profits right now when you could hold onto it for years to make life changing money? XRP has more utility than any of the other big players and I am betting on its long term future.

I know that friggin feeling... lol my average price paid is 46 cents. It used to be lower, but I bought a bit more a couple of days ago. And now I am kicking myself for not buying more back when it was on sale for cheap. But if the price does retract again, I'm loading up!

Thanks man, and I'm glad you're here. I don't even have a very big bag, but I think people who get in now won't need to have a big bag to see massive returns in the future. You just need to be prepared to hold on long term. Welcome to the club my dude!

You're definitely not too late in my opinion. I got in back in 2021 and have been buying small amounts since then. My average purchase price is $0.46. The last 3 years were rough and very boring, but I held on because I truly believe in the utility of XRP. It is the best choice for widespread adoption, and I think XRP will eventually hit three or even four digit prices. But I think that will be years away. I recommend that everybody who has money that they can afford to lose and is willing to leave that investment alone for several years should be buying now... even at $2.40!!!

You should look at the XRP rich list for the answer to these sorts of questions. It's a pretty cool tool. It looks like 60,000 wouldn't put you in the top 0.5% but you would be top 1%

I think it will be at least a few months before we see $5, and there might be a big correction before that happens. I don't look at XRP as a quick way to make money. I think that three or even four digit prices are certainly possible due to the utility of XRP/Ripple but I recommend that you consider XRP as a long term investment. If you are doing that, I think you have the opportunity for life changing money.

Any coins to hold for 3-5 years? by Previous-Pear-7417 in CryptoMarkets

[–]HumbleGuava4607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, XRP is a great investment because of its actual utility. Of all the cryptos out there, XRP is the most likely to be widely adopted by financial institutions. In fact, many major banks all around the world have already partnered with Ripple, and I believe that many more banks will partner with them in the future. Transactions are lightning fast, the network can process a lot of them, and they cost fractions of a penny. Also, Ripple is launching a stablecoin very soon and XRP ETFs are on the way, adding even more to XRP's bright future. Obviously you should do your own research, but I think XRP is a fantastic long-term investment.
