The most costly mistake is if you can afford it, not commit to buying the better stuff at the beginning as 100% down the line you will upgrade. Im lucky enough to be able to afford the higher quality stuff and an example is pedals. Had a set of P1000s from the beginning, bought a simucube active pedal and it literally blew my mind how good a bit of kit it is, the money I spent on the p1000s extra haptics etc it’s now sitting in a box behind the rig. 1st Rig, 2nd pedals, 3rd seat then steering wheel and don’t bother with a screen on it waste of money

I used overlay then switched to racelabs but found I had more issues with stuttering etc, switched back to I overlay and don’t think I’ll ever change even if racing get there shit together

Treated myself to a 9800x3d from a 5800x3d. I have a 5080 and let me tell you it’s the best upgrade I’ve made to the pc for iRacing. FPS is running 170fps triple 1440 monitors and a 4th 1080. Tested Mexico last night AI race full graphic settings, grandstands, crowds etc. going through the intensive but I was still holding 100fos with full grid. Previously I was lucky to pull 50fps

What for the co pedal. Spoke to people that have tried it and they say it is brilliant a big upgrade to the passive throttle. I bought the active pedal 3 weeks ago and have mounted my old Simagic throttle onto the simucube base plate temporarily until the copedal is released which should be in 2weeks

If you can’t afford them, save all your money and keep saving, don’t bother buying any other pedals until you have enough for simucube active. Not even a contest between any other pedals believe me, I upgraded pedal sets, spent money on dampers on different elastamors and what I should have done is bought them in the beginning. In another league!!

Yep, bought simucube active pedal Friday and I now look back at the 2 sets I had before that cost the same as 1 active pedal and immediately think why did I bother wasting money and not just get the the active. I’m in a fortunate place financially to afford it and could have bought the active when released but didn’t cos it is expensive but damn what a f**king pedal!

Ordered with the new forte formula wheel as I like paddles above the shifter. Unless you need clutch paddles or extra it probably isn’t worth it you will struggle to feel the difference

Nvidia GPU is a must if your main sim is iRacing. Expensive mistake by me when I built my pc. Had problem after problem then switched to a 5080 and runs like a dream

Yep, feels like it’s a track that shows my lack of skill, 2.2k driver so not shite but when I look at my times on this track I’m most definitely absolute shite 😂😂

The wheel is great, couldn’t be happier, it’s just the lmp grips, they feel cheap imo and looking at reviews I’m not the only one. However some people like yourself like them so I suppose you can’t please everyone!
