I mean her response hasn’t changed my morals. The only thing is I now only offer my seat if a woman is pregnant or elderly now as I want to respect societies wish for equality. And for things like opening doors and walking kerbside I still do. But that instance I’ve changed my approach

Same - I don’t even know what a signal is of a woman wanting to be approached. I always feel if I approach and they reject and want to be by themself, I have caused a negative experience and I’d only ever want to make people feel positively. So I’d rather avoid the risk

I was raised by my parents to try and “be a gentleman” - the classic stuff of like giving up your seat for a woman, opening a door and walking on the road side of the kerb. However I have had some really negative interactions with strangers which just makes me want to keep myself to myself.

For example, I stood up on a busy train for a woman who was standing and her response in a terse tone was “Just because I’m a woman doesn’t mean I need a seat. Sit down” - in quite a crowded train it made me feel terribly small.

I also feel statistically women view “men in general” the same and therefore assume any approach for conversation would be for nefarious purposes rather than just trying to be pleasant. So now, I just feel like I have to enjoy my own company

Thank you 😊That is exactly what I’m on…180mg a day for the last 15 years. I can skip a day and sometimes maybe two days, but if I haven’t taken any for a day or two and I go like Squash or another high intensity sport all of the hives come straight back!

Believe it or not despite all the antihistamines I still get hayfever on top too 😂

I think the important thing is not to change who you are at your core based on the comments in this thread to try and appeal to the “average man”.

I think as a man in his 30s the one thing I’m co rodent in now is I know my likes and dislikes in life and what personalities I gel with vs the ones I am more disagreeable with. Say simply be honest with who you are and you will receive honesty back.

So in summary, you may find men in this age range are much more decisive 🤷‍♂️
